Responding to Canada’s housing challenges takes collaboration at all levels. 🏡🤝

Mayor Dollin and members of staff recently participated in a roundtable discussion that brought together municipal and industry leaders to share ideas and practical solutions that could address local needs. Led by the Centre for Housing Innovation (CHI), the event included insights on successful models like BC Housing’s DASH platform.

CHI is a national housing accelerator run by DMZ that supports new technologies and approaches that can make housing faster to build, more efficient, and more affordable.

There's still time to have your say in the development of the Town's new Community Improvement Plan (CIP). ⏰

The Town of Innisfil is developing a new CIP to encourage high-quality commercial and industrial projects and support the creation of complete communities.

A CIP is a tool which allows municipalities in Ontario to offer a suite of targeted financial incentives to offset costs related to the development of new buildings, business expansions and community revitalization projects.

This CIP will introduce targeted financial incentives that align with Innisfil’s Economic Development Strategic Plan. These programs are designed to attract higher-value investment and support businesses.

Community input is essential as we create tools that will guide development in priority growth areas.

The draft CIP & draft Community Improvement Project Area (C**A) are now available to view at GetInvolvedInnisfil.ca/CIP. On this site, you’ll also find our Validation Survey, which provides you with a platform to provide your feedback regarding the draft CIP & C**A and the opportunity to have your feedback incorporated into the final CIP.
Along with this survey, we’re hosting a Public Meeting on Wednesday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Town Hall at 2101 Innisfil Beach Road. You can learn more about the purpose of this public meeting and how to participate at GetInvolvedInnisfil.ca/CIP.

The Validation Survey and Public Meeting both provide an opportunity for landowners, businesses, and residents to help shape a CIP that supports local job creation and economic prosperity for the whole community.

Learn more about the CIP, survey, and Public Meeting at GetInvolvedInnisfil.ca/CIP.
