🐾 APPOINTMENTS STILL AVAILABLE FOR SUNDAY, JUNE 14TH! 🐾

Have you been putting off your pet’s vaccinations, wellness check, or preventative care? Now is your chance!

We still have appointments available for the upcoming Remote Veterinary Wellness Clinic taking place at the Nipigon Community Centre on Sunday, June 14, 2026.

Veterinary services will be provided by the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA Remote Community Veterinary Services team, led by Dr. Tammy Hornak and staff.

💲 Pricing:
• $100 per pet – Nipigon & Schreiber residents
• $120 per pet – Outside residents

Your appointment includes:
✔ Physical examination and consultation
✔ Vaccinations (if due)
✔ Heartworm testing
✔ Oral deworming
✔ Microchip placement
✔ Preventative health recommendations

Additional preventative products and services will also be available for purchase, including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, Bordetella vaccines, Suprelorin implants, and NexGard Combo for cats.

If you missed yesterdays registration you have the opportunity tonight June 10th from 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM at the Community Centre.
The following lesson levels will be offered:
• Parent & Tot
• Preschool
• Swimmer 1
• Swimmer 2
• Swimmer 3
• Swimmer 4
• Swimmer 5
• Swimmer 6
• Rookie Patrol
• Ranger Patrol
• Star Patrol
• Private Lessons
If you are unable to attend either registration date, you may register at the Town Office with Kristin during regular office hours.
Spaces are limited, so be sure to register early to secure your spot!
Cash/Debit is accepted at time of registration.

The wait is over! The Splash Pad is now officially open for the season and ready for everyone to enjoy.

Notice: Possible Temporary Brown Water Near Greenmantle & Wadsworth Drive

Residents in the area of Greenmantle Drive and Wadsworth Drive near the Public Works Garage may notice temporary brown water this evening while the Township fills the pool.

This work may cause sediment in the water system to become disturbed, resulting in temporary discoloured water in the surrounding area.

What to do:

Before using water, please check your taps. If the water appears brown, run your cold water tap until the water runs completely clear.

The Township of Nipigon is pleased to announce our Seniors of the Year - Karin and Gordon Mackenzie. The award was presented at the Annual Seniors Banquet to their granddaughter Angelina, who accepted on their behalf. The community suffered a major loss when Gordon passed away unexpectedly last summer. The Mackenzie’s volunteered together for decades in many capacities for several organizations including the Township of Nipigon, the Nipigon Library, the Nipigon Legion, the Nipigon Hospital, CLLS, Parks Canada and the Boy Scouts of Canada, just to name a few!
