Interested in running in the 2026 General Local Elections on October 17? Nomination packages are available now.

📍 Pick up a package at the ACRD office (3008 Fifth Ave.)

Nomination documents must be submitted between September 1 and 11, 2026.

To be eligible to run for office you must:
• be 18 years of age or older on general voting day
• be a Canadian Citizen
• have been a resident of BC for at least 6 months
• not be disqualified under any enactment in BC.

ACRD election staff will be attending the District of Tofino Candidate Information Session on Monday August 17 from 5-7 pm at the Tofino Community Hall.

Information will be provided for those thinking of running for the Long Beach Electoral Area Director and for the School District 70 (Pacific Rim) Board of Education Trustee on the West Coast.
