An important reminder from our Fire Department friends.

Let’s do our part to keep all first responders safe!

A stop sign doesn't offer very much protection from an oncoming vehicle, does it?

That's why it is extremely important for you to slow down and move over when you are approaching an emergency scene. Be prepared to stop if instructed to do so by police or other first responders.

We encounter speeding motorists at every motor vehicle accident that we respond to on Highway 1.

Slowing down and moving over is not optional, it's the law!

Please do your part to help keep us safe!

What a great evening and an amazing turnout for our Search & Rescue information session! It was wonderful to see so many people interested in helping make our community safer.

A special thank you to Jim Tubbs for taking time out of his vacation to come and share his knowledge and experience with us. Your dedication is truly appreciated!

We're now looking to build a local Search & Rescue group with approximately 12 members:
🔹 Two search teams of 5 members each
🔹 Two team leaders

Important: A Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check are mandatory for all volunteers. You can pick up the necessary forms for the RCMP at the village office.

If you've ever thought about giving back to your community, this is a great opportunity to get involved. No experience is necessary—just a willingness to learn, work as part of a team, and help when needed.

CCGSAR is all set up at MayDay event at the St Stephen airport! Come say hi, and check out gear and vehicles from SAR, RCMP, Fire, Coast Guard, CBSA, Campobello Whale Rescue Team, and many more! Starting at 11. There will be food for sale, live music, and a 50/50 draw, plus a chance to win a free helicopter tour from Flying 2C Helicopter Tours!

CCGSAR is all set up at the Charlotte County Recreation and Home Show, at the Garcelon Civic Centre in St. Stephen! Come visit us and say hi!

We had team members onsite today able to provide first aid if needed.

Run the Runway is tomorrow - 72 runners/walkers signed up for the event.

We have a meeting tonight at 6 pm to go over what needs to be done tomorrow morning before the event, but

We are looking for volunteers to help out with the event. Too many is never and issue, not enough is an issue.

If you would like to help out and have time to pop by tonight at 6 pm at the St. Stephen Airport for a quick meeting, and are available on Saturday May 2 from 830 am to 12 - we would love to have you help out.

CCGSAR will be on scene to provide first aid, if needed! Last day to register for the race is May 1, and funds raised go to support Charlotte County Cancer. So far, it's looking like Saturday will be a beautiful day. Hope to see lots there!

Members from CCGSAR conducted outdoor winter training in Eastern Charlotte this weekend. Working on winter skills and search tactics while utilizing real time tracking technology. Members of the overhead honed their planning, digital mapping and operational knowledge while the searchers were in the field.
Training such as this enables our members to be ready to search in wide ranging conditions.
