CCGSAR is all set up at MayDay event at the St Stephen airport! Come say hi, and check out gear and vehicles from SAR, RCMP, Fire, Coast Guard, CBSA, Campobello Whale Rescue Team, and many more! Starting at 11. There will be food for sale, live music, and a 50/50 draw, plus a chance to win a free helicopter tour from Flying 2C Helicopter Tours!

Run the Runway is tomorrow - 72 runners/walkers signed up for the event.

We have a meeting tonight at 6 pm to go over what needs to be done tomorrow morning before the event, but

We are looking for volunteers to help out with the event. Too many is never and issue, not enough is an issue.

If you would like to help out and have time to pop by tonight at 6 pm at the St. Stephen Airport for a quick meeting, and are available on Saturday May 2 from 830 am to 12 - we would love to have you help out.

CCGSAR will be on scene to provide first aid, if needed! Last day to register for the race is May 1, and funds raised go to support Charlotte County Cancer. So far, it's looking like Saturday will be a beautiful day. Hope to see lots there!

This National Volunteer Week, we’d like to thank our members who tirelessly volunteer their time to help the community. Without you, we couldn’t do what we do!

In 2025, our volunteers donated 4,904 hours of their time to help on searches, with training, and with critical fundraising needs. No matter sun, rain or snow – our team is there 24/7/365 to help when it matters most. It’s all about teamwork, commitment and a willingness to learn and be outside. It's not always easy, but our members always demonstrate this!

So, to our team members, THANK YOU! You're all rockstars.

Members from CCGSAR conducted outdoor winter training in Eastern Charlotte this weekend. Working on winter skills and search tactics while utilizing real time tracking technology. Members of the overhead honed their planning, digital mapping and operational knowledge while the searchers were in the field.
Training such as this enables our members to be ready to search in wide ranging conditions.
