Book Reading and Signing Event!

In The Cree Word for Love, Indigenous author Tracey Lindberg and artist George Littlechild consider a teaching from an Elder that in their culture, the notion of love as constructed in Western society does not exist. Here, through original fiction and select iconic paintings, Lindberg and Littlechild respond.

Join us on Friday, May 8th at 7pm in the community program room as Tracey reads from her latest book and stay for a tea and book signing after!

Today we wear red. ❤️
On this MMIWG2S Day, we honor and remember the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, Two-Spirit & gender diverse people whose voices should still be heard, whose lives mattered deeply, and whose stories must never be forgotten.
We stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities, holding space for grief, truth, and justice. This day is not only about remembrance—it’s a call to listen, to learn, and to take action.
May we move forward with respect, awareness, and commitment to change.

Dark place, light place... A Library place is always a good place to find knowledge -- in books and from within.

May 4th and every day, I hope the books are with you. And if they're not come pick some up! 🌌
