Small Business Spotlight: MA Summer Services

Founded in 2025, MA Summer Services is a locally owned seasonal business providing lawn care, sod installation, landscaping, concrete work, and grub and w**d control throughout Thunder Bay. Launched through the Thunder Bay CEDC Summer Company program, the business is built on delivering dependable, high-quality service while building lasting relationships with customers.

Co-founders Michael Arnone and Carter Wieringa, both business students at Lakehead University, turned their shared passion for entrepreneurship and outdoor work into a growing business. What started with lawn care has expanded into a full range of summer property services as they continue to respond to the needs of their clients and community.

Looking ahead, MA Summer Services is focused on growing its team and streamlining operations, allowing the founders to dedicate more time to marketing, business development, and expanding their services across the region.
