TD Summer Reading Club at WPL runs June 27-August 22, and registration opens tomorrow!

Join us at any Welland Public Library location to kick off a summer of reading, activities, and prizes for readers ages 0-17.

Tomorrow’s launch includes:
🎉All Branches: Register, enjoy drop-in activities, pick up your reading tracker book + tracking pen. 📖BONUS! receive a free book while supplies last.

📍Main Branch: Storytime and craft at 2pm
📍Seaway Mall Branch: Storytime and craft at 2pm
🚐Bookmobile at Glenwood Park: Storytime at 10:30 a.m. in the pavilion.

Can’t make it tomorrow? You can register anytime this summer at all of our branches or on our website.

In 1987, the Bookmobile rolled into a new era with a fresh beige and red paint job 🚐🎨

It continued bringing books to the community through the early 1990s, making regular stops at places like St. Charles Village retirement residence and becoming a familiar sight for readers of all ages 📚🏡

In 1995, rising repair costs brought nearly 50 years of Bookmobile service to an end. From 1946 to 1995, Welland County Library and later Welland Public Library proudly delivered library service on the road, joining only a handful of nearby systems offering mobile libraries.

Now, after nearly three decades, the journey begins again.

Join us TODAY from 3–5 p.m. at Civic Square as we unveil our brand-new Bookmobile, the C.A.N.A.L. Cruiser! Come celebrate this exciting new chapter, explore the vehicle, and be among the first to see the fresh new look of a beloved Welland Public Library tradition. 🎉📚🚐
