Know the signs. Stay safe. 🌞

As temperatures rise, older adults are at increased risk of heat-related illnesses. Knowing the difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke can help you act quickly and protect yourself or someone you care about.

💧 Stay hydrated—even before you feel thirsty.
🧢 Limit time outdoors during the hottest parts of the day.
❄️ Keep cool with air conditioning, fans, or cool showers.
👵 Check in on older family members, friends, and neighbours during hot weather.

Heat stroke is a medical emergency. If someone has a high body temperature, hot, dry skin, confusion, or loses consciousness, call 911 immediately.
