La Vérendrye MLA Konrad Narth, is Manitoba's new interim Leader of the Official Opposition! 🦬

"I'm grateful for the trust and confidence of my colleagues, moving forward as one united caucus,” said Narth.

“I want to thank the former Leader for his service. I believe that there's a better path forward for this province, and Progressive Conservatives are committed to showing Manitobans exactly what that looks like.”

The Manitoba Legislature returned for the fall legislative session on Tuesday.

“Manitobans deserve an Opposition that not only holds their government to account, but listens to their concerns and is ready to offer them something better," said Narth.

"That's our job. We owe you our very best work and we are committed to delivering that to you. We are more optimistic than ever about building a more affordable Manitoba, a more prosperous Manitoba, and a safer Manitoba.”

Be rail smart, Manitoba! 🛤️

In Canada, 100 people are seriously injured or killed due to rail-related incidents every year.

That’s why railway safety matters.

Trains are faster than you expect and it can take kilometres for them to come to a complete stop.

Here’s what you can do to :

🚗 Drivers: Never stop on the tracks and never try to rush to cross ahead of a train.

🚲 Cyclists: Don’t ride on gravel roads or green spaces alongside tracks.

Slow down, dismount, and walk your bike across.

🚶‍♂️ Pedestrians: Don’t be on your phone or with headphones on.

Lastly, never trespass on railway properties. Trespassing accidents remain the primary cause of fatalities.

Happy Sign Languages Day, Manitoba! 🤟🧏‍♀️

Progressive Conservatives are proud to celebrate Deaf culture in Manitoba, and the invaluable contributions of Deaf and Hard of hearing Manitobans to our communities.

Your PC team is also working to promote accessibility and increase awareness of the barriers that the Deaf community face.

Brandon West MLA Wayne Balcaen has been open about his personal experience with gradual, noise-induced hearing loss as a former police chief.

That’s why earlier this year, he introduced Bill 225 to establish:

🔹 Deaf Awareness Week, observed on the last full week of September each year

🔹 Day of Sign Languages, observed each year on September 23

We hope to pass this bill by November with unanimous support!
