Official group for Democrats Abroad Munich and Southern Bavaria — building community, getting out the vote, and keeping Americans in Munich informed and engaged. Democrats Abroad is the official Democratic Party organization for the millions of Americans living outside the United States. Our mission is to have the views and needs of Americans living abroad expressed in governmental policy by:
•Pro
tecting the right to vote for Americans living abroad,
•Advocating for the interests of Americans abroad in the DNC and the US Government,
•And vigorously defending our civil rights and pillars of democracy inside the USA. Democrats Abroad is recognized as a “state” Party by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and is represented on the DNC by eight voting members, as well as at the Democratic National Convention. The second Wednesday of every month is our monthly meeting, where we have various special presentations & speakers covering a variety of topics of interest to Americans living abroad. The third Tuesday of every month is our Political Pub Night, an informal opportunity to get together and talk politics over a couple of pints. Additionally we organize monthly resistance meet ups and hold rallies and marches as necessary. Additionally we host several social events, guest speakers, discussions, and election-specific events throughout the year. Monthly Meetings – 2nd Wednesday of every month, 7:00pm
