💓 Cardiac arrest can happen anywhere, at any time. Every minute without CPR and defibrillation decreases a person’s chance of survival by 7–10%. When CPR and an AED are used within the first few minutes, survival rates can double or even triple.
AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) are often located in visible public areas such as: airports, schools, gyms, shopping malls, office buildings. They are commonly found near entrances, elevators, security desks, cafeterias, and main hallways in clearly marked cabinets.
Knowing how to quickly locate and use an AED could save the life of a friend, family member, coworker — or even a stranger.
