🚀 More open solutions. More climate impact. 🚀
The United Nations Climate Technology Centre & Network (CTCN) has officially joined the Public Goods Alliance (DPGA), alongside UN Climate Change, strengthening a shared commitment to open-source software, open data, and open AI systems that deliver public benefit.
As CTCN Director Ariesta Ningrum notes: "Partnerships are central to the CTCN's mission of supporting developing countries in accessing and deploying climate technologies." Joining the DPGA strengthens our ability to connect governments, technology providers, practitioners and innovators around open, scalable digital solutions at a moment when that has never mattered more.
This membership builds on our growing collaboration with the DPGA, including the for Climate Action Collection, a curated set of trusted, open digital tools to support climate mitigation and adaptation, co-stewarded by the TEC, CTCN and DPGA Secretariat.
It also deepens our work under the Initiative, promoting practical AI applications for climate action with a focus on Least Developed Countries and Small Island Developing States.
From early warning systems to energy planning platforms, open digital solutions can help countries build resilience and scale low-emission technologies faster and more equitably.
