𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁

👎🏻 For too long, communities have watched their high streets decline around them, with v**e shops, adult gaming centres and rogue businesses replacing the local services people rely on.

🗣️ We are putting power back in the hands of local communities to have a real say over what opens on their High Street.

✍🏻 New planning rules will mean v**e shops and adult gaming centres can’t just pop up without local people having a say.

💪🏻 Local people will get stronger powers to block v**e shops opening near schools.

👮‍♀️ Police and local authorities will have the power to close shops for up to 12 months, twice the previous limit, giving them more time to investigate premises linked to organised crime and stop rogue operators reopening

🙌🏻 This is just the first step to improve how our high streets look and feel with plenty more to come as we turn around hollowed-out high streets, backing proper local businesses, and rebuilding pride and growth in every postcode.

Heap has brought shame on Baxenden, Hyndburn. He’s now reached the Manchester Evening News. Highlights how toxic a story this is. Heap must go. Not telling the public the truth using slander and malicious stories makes him unfit for public office.

Hyndburn’s worst councillor David Heap found to have;
- Repeatedly misled the public
- Guilty of all 7 offences
- Refused to work with fraud investigator
- Repeatedly misleads the public
- Own colleagues appalled at his behaviour
- Before standards on multiple more counts

Can’t be trusted to tell the truth, can’t work with others, gets nothing done because he’s always arguing.

A councillor in Hyndburn breached the council’s code of conduct multiple times by making false statements about colleagues and the council

👶 Labour has scrapped the two-child limit, which will lift 450,000 children out of poverty

👵 Over 12 million pensioners will see their State Pension rise by up to £575, thanks to Labour’s action to ease the cost of living

📈 Working people are getting help with the cost of living, with wages rising, energy bills cut by £117 on average and prescription charges frozen with Labour

🔪 Labour is backing the police with a new strategy to halve knife crime, £26 million for hotspot enforcement and over 3,000 additional neighbourhood officers deployed early

🎓 Labour is capping student loan interest rates, protecting graduates from rising costs and easing financial pressure

🏭 Thanks to Labour’s industrial strategy, over £700 million has been secured for UK manufacturing, including a major new gigafactory and 4,200 jobs

☀️ Labour is driving the clean energy transition, with the UK’s largest solar farm approved in Lincolnshire and backing for green hydrogen and jobs in South Yorkshire

🎒 Thanks to Labour’s focus on young people, youth services are being rebuilt with new provision across the country

🌊 Pride in Place funding has been announced for some of England's seaside towns, to help bring back the "glory days" for coastal communities
