The developers of the Former Ironbridge power station site, Harworth, run a communities Fund to donate to and support local causes that are important to our local community.

Buildwas received grants from this fund for a new automated external defibrillator at the village hall, and towards the cost of repairing and making new scenery for the Buildwas Players panto previously.

To be considered for funding your application forms will need to be completed by a community group, school, charity, community amateur sports club or not-for-profit organisation which operates within a 4 mile radius of the Benthall Grange development.

The window to apply for the fund will be open between 1st - 31st October and details can be obtained directly from the developer.

Harworth (the owners of the former power station site) have a Communities Fund to donate to and support local causes that are important to our community. If you would like to bid for funding for an organisation in the local community please contact Harworth directly.

Your application forms will need to be completed by a community group, school, charity, community amateur sports club or not-for-profit organisation which operates within a 4 mile radius of the Benthall Grange development.

Buildwas have previously received grants from the fund to upgrade our defibrillator at the Village Hall and costs towards making and repairing scenery for the Buildwas Players panto.

⬛️ Black bins this week

⚠️ Waste and recycling collections on Thursday and Friday.

Due to the hot weather, recycling and waste collections will start at 6am, rather than 7am.

This is to help our crews avoid the hottest times of the day.

🕕 So, please put your bins/boxes/bags out by 6am, and on the night before if possible.
