Don't forget we've got a free story session this morning in the library from 10am - 12 noon. Join us for castle-themed stories, pick up a free trail map, take a historical walk around Corfe village (waterproofs may be needed!) and then enjoy a great free art session at Sandy Hill Arts in the afternoon!

We have had quite a few changes in the library recently with a new self-service machine, some comfy chairs to relax on while browsing, our fabulous children's area and a new look to the lobby!
If you have not been in for a while, come and take a look, stop for a chat, enjoy a cuppa and borrow a book or two!

Some visitors from Devon popped into the library on Monday and here is the lovely email they sent us:

I just wanted to thank your wonderful staff on behalf of my husband and I, for making us feel so welcome when we popped in on Monday 10th August.
We were only down on holiday but as a book lover and a library volunteer I couldn’t help going inside.
What a wonderful welcome, and a lovely chat.
I do hope that the library manages to continue providing a service to the local community.
It would be a sad loss to lose such a beautiful resource and such warm welcoming people.

Thank you to everyone who has come to our free story sessions on Wednesday mornings - they continue until 26th August. Don't forget you can pop in and pick up your free Corfe Castle Trail Map every day we are open.

It’s very exciting being part of the Corfe Castle Village History Trail with Sandy Hill Arts. You can pick up your trail map anytime we are open and enjoy a special day of stories and drawing with a “castle” theme every Wednesday during the school holidays.

Today is our second summer Wednesday of free castle-themed activities for children as part of the Corfe Castle Village History Trail. There is a free book session at Corfe Castle library 10-12pm ( where you can pick up your free village trail booklet). This afternoon there is a free art workshop 2-4pm at Sandy Hill Arts ( find us next to the steam railway station). Just come along . No need to book. Thank you to Arts Development Company for their support for these activities as part of their Culture Quest.

It's a great fun family trail taking you around Corfe Castle Village from the library to Sandy Hill Arts. Every Wednesday morning there is a story session in the library and an art and craft session at Sandy Hill Arts. We are thrilled to be involved with the “Horrible Histories” events at Sandy Hill Arts. Please come in and pick up your FREE Corfe Castle Trail map from the library all through the summer holidays. We are open Monday 3-5pm, Wednesday 10-12noon & 3-5pm, Friday 3-5pm, Saturday 10-12noon!
