We are delighted to be welcoming comedian and broadcaster (and patron of our libraries) ROBIN INCE to Crediton Library for a special lunchtime talk on Tuesday 23rd June at 1pm.

Many of you will know Robin from his years as co-host of The Infinite Monkey Cage with Brian Cox on Radio 4, or from his books. He will be talking about the latest of these, 'Normally Weird and Weirdly Normal' which explores his late ADHD diagnosis and what is means to be 'normal'.

Robin's talks are always entertaining, funny and fascinating, so don't miss this opportunity for an hour (or more) in his company. You will undoubtedly get some great book recommendations too!

Tickets are just £3 for anyone with a library card (or £5 otherwise) and you must book with the library in advance to guarantee a place.

As part of National Crime Reading Month, and in partnership with The Reading Agency, we invite you to join us for a FREE panel conversation in the library with three (count them ... three) top crime writers on Friday 26th June at 7pm.

MICHAEL JECKS has been a professional crime writer for 33 years and is the author of 55 novels, two collections of short stories, and ten collaborative novels. His work encompasses his highly acclaimed Last Templar series, the best-selling Vintener series, his humorous Bloody Mary Tudor series and modern day Art of Murder mystery series amongst others.

MORGEN WITZEL writes under two pseudonyms, AJ MacKenzie and RL Graham. A J Mackenzie is the pseudonym of Marilyn Livingstone and Morgen Witzel, an Anglo-Canadian husband-and-wife team of writers and historians. They have published twelve novels, most recently the Simon Merrivale series of medieval thrillers culminating with Path of Gold.

ORLANDO MURRIN was flung into the culinary limelight as a semi-finalist on Masterchef, after which he became editor of BBC Good Food magazine and founded Olive, then a chef-hotelier in SW France. The grandson of a famous MI5 spycatcher, he has had a lifelong fascination with crime, and his debut novel, Knife Skills For Beginners, was shortlisted for four national awards, including the McDermid Debut Prize; the sequel, Murder Below Deck, came out in paperback in May.
