Calling all Chatter Books members!

Chatter Books will return on October the 10th!

Chatter Books reading group meets on second Saturday of the month from 11am until 12 noon.

The Chatter books reading group is suitable for ages 7 to 11 years. The book for each session can be obtained from the front desk when you sign up. For more details, please ask in the library or email us at [email protected]

Each week we have a different theme with specially chosen books, a fun wordsearch and colouring! ��

The Great Farnham Library Quiz!

Join us at Farnham Library for fun filled evening and a chance to dust off your skills! Enjoy laughs and fierce trivia battles set in our newly refurbished library!

Categories will include books, art, music, films, local history and many more brain teasers!

Tickets are £1 per person, and teams can have up to 6 members.

Get creative with those books teamed team names!

Please feel free to BYO cold snacks and soft drinks.

Pre-booking and advance payment is required to secure your space at this event - please ask at desk or enquire via email at [email protected]

We are still looking for Rhyme Time volunteers at Farnham Library! 🎵

Please share this post to spread the word, or send this to someone you think may be interested! 📢

This is an ideal role for anyone who is enthusiastic and loves to sing for fun! We are looking for someone who knows how to sing nursery rhymes (ideally with accompanying actions) or someone who is keen to learn how to lead Rhyme Time sessions, as we can provide training and ongoing support!

Join our NEW Collage and Scrapbook Club at Farnham Library! ��✨

This club will run monthly, alternate Tuesday evenings and Saturdays. Book now to join! Take a look at the designs in this post that members made at the first club meeting!

The next session will be on Tuesday 25th August.

Enjoy meeting new people and crafting in a relaxed and mindful environment. Create a collage artwork or add to your journal with junk, scraps and stickers. Essential materials provided but please bring along extra book/magazine pages, stamps, photographs etc. that you would like to work with.

£3 per session, suitable for ages 18 years and over. Pre-booking and advance payment are required to secure your space at this event. Please ask at desk or enquire via email at [email protected].

A relaxed chat about any topic, plus a little bit extra on music, stage and screen.

Farnham library will be closed between Monday 14 September and Friday 2 October to allow for refurbishment works to take place. The library is planned to reopen on Saturday 3 October.

Throughout this closure, customers can use any of our other Surrey libraries including nearby Ash and Godalming libraries. Find your nearest alternative library.

Throughout the closure period we will also be extending the opening hours at Ash library to the following:

Monday: 9.30am to 5.30pm

Tuesday: 9.30am to 7pm

Wednesday: 9.30am to 5.30pm

Thursday: 9.30am to 5.30pm

Friday: 9.30am to 5.30pm

Saturday: 9.30am to 5pm

Sunday: Closed

All loans will be extended until Monday 12 October, and no fines will be incurred during the closure period. Super Access will also not be available at Farnham Library during this period.

We will also be setting up a small book swap within the nearby Adult Learning Centre to enable customers to still access books for free.
