Niamh and Jenny chose to marry in Arta, not only because it is an incredible venue, but because it is across the road from Blackfriars: the location of their very first date, where it was love at first sight ❤️.

Their ceremony was packed full of meaningful rituals: an oathing stone, handfasting and their beloved three dogs 🐶🐶🐶.

After the ceremony, Jenny and Niamh hotfooted it over to Blackfriars, to recreate their first date and its magic.

It was a wonderful ceremony all round, and I had a few tears as I connected with Jenny’s reflection on the progress in LGBT rights and the ability to legally marry 👭.

Thank you Niamh and Jenny for your review.

What a gorgeous family wedding and a crowd that laughed with gusto. Here’s a few wee photos but the professional photos are going to be fabulous. Aoife, the Irish Wolfhound accompanied me again on the road trip from Glasgow.

Remember my secret wedding in ARTA Weddings at the beginning of July? I can reveal that the happy couple were Lucy and John, and here are some of the incredible photos taken by
John Johnston

I am especially delighted that they took time out of their honeymoon to write me such a wonderful review. Thank you for your kind, kind words and wishing you lots of luck, and many happy years together Lucy Doherty ❤️ x

💑 Yesterday I married Simon and David at the Invercarse Hotel in Dundee. They were delighted to realise that they were getting married on ‘World Rum Day’, especially as they had chosen to have a wee dram of it in their Quaich at the end of their ceremony.

Both grooms looked so handsome in their MacKenzie weathered tartan kilts, which has a real outlander vibe. The River Tay, Scotland’s longest river, was a stunning backdrop to their ceremony. 🏞

📖 Their story had their friends and family heartily laughing, and the room was full of love and support for our couple. Their personal vows were magical, shared with one another using an ancient oathing stone ritual. Their stone was chosen by their cocker spaniel, Harvey, who discovered it at Elliot beach 🐕.

Although Harvey wasn’t in the room, this, and a beautiful photo of him, was a great way to bring him into the ceremony. Harvey then got to join his dads for photos after the ceremony 📸

Congratulations, David and Simon, and hopefully our paths will cross again in the future 🫶.

🤫

Today I had the privilege of marrying my couple in the stunning Arta. There were a lot more flowers and candles than people, as only their parents had the pleasure of witnessing their beautiful ceremony 💍

It was wonderfully intimate, and there was so much laughter and a fair few hankies required!

The happy couple incredibly managed to keep their plans under wraps from the rest of their family and friends. This was no mean feat, but they managed to keep it top secret! Their plan is to surprise everyone with their news this weekend 🥳🎉

So no photos from me today, except one of me and John the photographer 📸

The newly weds are away to have lots of photos taken around Glasgow’s merchant city, and with so many happy folk out enjoying a beer in the sun, I think they are going to attract lots of attention from happy well wishers 👰‍♀️🤵

Congratulations to the happy couple and enjoy the glorious sun on your special day ☀️☀️☀️

If a beach has special meaning to you then why not get married at the place that holds your happy memories? That’s what Sher and Rab did today.

The ceremony was very relaxed and we even managed to get a break in between the rain. The wind kinda helped to make a nice big knot during the handfasting!
Once Sher and Rab were married, their first shared experience as a married couple was running into the sea!

Congratulations, Sher and Rab. Wishing you and your ‘wee team’ many fun filled adventures as the Lafferty family.
