Such sad news about Janie a staff member from the FARE community. Information below regarding her funeral arrangements for those of our tenants who wish to pay their respects!

It is with great sadness that we share details of the funeral of our much-loved colleague and friend, Janie Thompson.

Janie was a valued and highly respected member of the FARE family. Her warmth, kindness and dedication touched the lives of so many people, and her loss is felt deeply across our organisation and wider community.

At the request of Janie’s family, we are extending a heartfelt invitation to anyone who would like to attend her funeral:
Date: 20th August 2026
Time: 1pm
Location: Daldowie Crematorium

Janie's family have also asked that those attending wear a colour they associate with Janie, should they wish to do so, as a reflection of the joy, warmth and individuality she brought to so many lives.

Janie made a lasting impact on our organisation and on the people who had the privilege of knowing her. We hope that coming together to remember her will provide some comfort as we honour her memory and celebrate the remarkable person, she was.
