Our rhymetime sessions are aimed at babies and toddlers, aged under five, along with their mums, dads and carers. Based entirely on sharing nursery rhymes, action songs and percussion music we also feature silly hats, a bubble machine and plenty of fun!

Nursery rhymes are great for language development, with the rhythm catching babies' attention, as well as repetition, which is good for speech development. It is also a nice way of introducing babies and toddlers to their local library!

Our sessions are every Thursday from 10-10:30am and 11-11:30am. Tickets are FREE, available on the day from when we open at 9:30am and are on a first come, first served basis. Each ticket permits three people.

Today we are celebrating National Dog Day... a time to come together and celebrate all things DOG. Whether you’re a proud pawrent or furry fanatic, National Dog Day reminds us to show appreciation for those cute companions we can’t do without. And as luck would have it, we have plenty of doggie related books for you to borrow and enjoy.

If you are a dog owner, we'd love you to share photos of your best friend with us here... we can't wait to see them! Woof woof! 🐶

Active Storytime will return next Friday to kick off the new Autumn term!
Active Storytime is a fun, interactive session aimed at 2-5 year olds that runs every Friday during term-time. We read a story together, sing a song, and then do an activity like a craft or game.

Sessions happen from 10:30-11am on Fridays, with the first one on Friday 4th September

We have a different theme each week, and this half term's are: Party, Music, Dogs, Autumn, In Town, Minibeasts, and Monsters!

The suggested price is £2 per child to cover materials - but if you aren't able to pay, please still come and join in!

Get ready to unleash your creativity!🎨 Our librarian (and artist-in-residence) Liz is back with another exciting adult drawing workshop! 📚🖌
This month she's inviting you to explore still-life art and the session will be taking place on the 27th August from 1.30-2.30pm (a cost of £2 per person is required)
These workshops take place every month and are intended for anyone for complete beginners to seasoned pros. All materials are provided (though feel free to bring your own, if you have them) and you will be supported throughout to practice and hone your skills!🎨✨

Is the end of the summer holidays getting you down? Not to worry! Our Lego Club is the perfect way to keep the summer vibes going, even as the days start to get shorter, and the first day of school looms!!! 📚

This month Lego Club is all about making a splash with a waterpark theme!🏊‍♀️ Imagine building the most epic water slide ever, creating your own Lego pools, or even designing a Lego surfboard?! Let your imagination run wild!! 🌊🌴🏄‍♂️

Lego Club is on the 29th August, 2.30-3.30pm.
Cost: £2 per child (no need to book, just turn up on the day!)
We recommend Lego Club for 6+, but younger siblings are welcome to come along and play in our Duplo corner (free of charge)!

All throughout the town centre there are special displays in shop windows, and each one reveals an exciting story from Horley Town's past and present!
