Community Foundation for Merseyside

Community Foundation for Merseyside The Community Foundation for Merseyside is for donors, for communities and for Merseyside.

Our vision is to help to build stronger communities in Merseyside by addressing the real needs and areas of disadvantage which exist in the region. In 2017 we celebrated 18 years of supporting local communities through connecting donors with the places and causes that they care about.

More funding for grassroots groups across Merseyside! 💜

Thanks to our partnership with Professional Liverpool and funds raised at Cannes Do 2026, our Merseyside Community Investment Fund (MCIF) has awarded £49,625 to 17 local groups, reaching 2,249 people across our communities.

That's double the investment from the previous round!

🥊 Going the distance for the 23 Foundation

Last night Industry Rumble held their Big Industry Rumble Charity Boxing Match to raise money for Jamie Carragher's '23 Foundation'.

The Big Industry Rumble sees members of Liverpool's hospitality industry step into the ring, going toe-to-toe in aid of charity🥊

Thanks to the incredible support of everyone involved, an amazing £7,100 was raised for the 23 Foundation.

A special thank you to Liverpool Nightlife CIC and Industry Rumble for organising the event and well done to everyone who laced up their gloves and took part. Your efforts will help us continue creating opportunities for young people in Merseyside.

Our finance team are great with numbers... this October, they'll be testing whether they're any good with directions too 🗺

Juliet & Sharon are taking on Race for a Reason: they'll be spending the weekend running around the UK, using nothing but their initiative to get from one mystery location to the next.

They're raising money for Alfie's Squad, a charity we've previously funded that provides vital peer support to young people bereaved by su***de.

Their goal is to raise £1,000, and the whole CFLM team is behind them every step of the way.

Third Sector Trends: Final Report 🤝

New research confirms what we see every day: Need doesn't fall evenly and neither does funding.

The areas facing the toughest challenges often have the tightest budgets yet collaborate and adapt the most.

That's why local knowledge matters. It's how we get support where it's needed most.

How far can £7,500 go? Further than you might think.

Jamie Carragher and our team visited Netherton Feelgood Factory L30, Liverpool 6 community centre and Sports Alive North West Charity, to see first-hand the impact of projects supported through Jamie Carragher's '23 Foundation'.

Since establishing the 23 Foundation in 2009, Jamie has helped support over 70,000 young people through sport, education and food provision 🙌

A huge thank you to all three organisations for hosting us❤️.

Farm Urban is clearly doing something right. We've never seen kids so excited to eat lettuce before 🥬

Yesterday, Kelly Roberts and David Costelloe visited Farm Urban at Park Farm Community Centre - St Helens 💙

Farm Urban received £25,000 from the Pilkington Charities Fund to help deliver over 350 youth sessions this year.

What started as a weekly youth club and twice-weekly after-school provision has now expanded into daily after-school clubs alongside a wide range of activities that support the wellbeing and development of local young people.

Thank you to everyone at Farm Urban and Park Farm Community Centre ✨

This International Youth Day, we're celebrating the organisations making a real difference for young people! 🙌

Thanks to £2,445 from Jamie Carragher's '23 Foundation', Talk the Talk Education CIC has been able to bring back Cooktastic this summer at Litherland Youth & Community Centre.

The project gives young people the opportunity to develop valuable life skills by learning to cook, while also creating a safe space for honest conversations around life and mental health.
