The Summer Reading Challenge 2026 has officially begun! Come down to the library to sign up and receive your starter pack for this year's exciting theme - Read to the Beat 🎵

The Summer Reading Challenge encourages children aged 4-11 to continue reading throughout the summer holidays. To complete it, they must read six books or complete six challenges listed in the starter booklet (or a combination of the two), collecting rewards like stickers and bookmarks along the way. Once they finish, they will receive a wristband and personalised certificate!

The challenge runs between now and 12th September.
