Our display pods this month have different themes: Bring on the Band! features titles from our Local Studies collections, and 'Branch Out' is all about trees, woods, forests, or possibly just have books with a picture of a tree on the front 😉

Big Ted and Little Ted have found our glove puppets and have been practicing singing 'Old MacDonald'. Our next Rhymetime will be on Tuesday 14th April 10:45-11:15. Under 5s and their adults welcome to join in - tell your friends!

We'll be having our Family Lego session on Saturday 11th April from 10-12. Adult supervision essential. All welcome, you have lots of building fun, & we'll tidy up afterwards.

Many thanks to Millbrook Primary School year 5 children who have written some wonderful poems about feelings. We're feeling very pleased to have these poems on display in Grove Library from now and until the Summer Reading Challenge begins in July. Do also ask to look at the marvellous poetry books which have been compiled. We're feeling a bit sad that we don't have enough space to show all the poems individually... but we are feeling very happy to share them with you on the children's behalf 👍😀

We've already had a few children planting sunflower seeds in the library - this activity will be ongoing throughout the school Easter holidays. Toilet roll tubes can be adapted to make a recycled plant pot - and we love recycling! Instructions and help given, why not pop by and spread a little sunflower sunshine? 😀👍

We had a lot of fun in the library last night. 3rd Grove Brownies paid us a visit and were working towards their 'Book Reviewer Brownie Badge' and 'Jobs Brownie Badge'. The Brownies learned about how the library works, spent some time with the 'Book Taster' challenge, and then interviewed the Library Manager about her job! What a busy night 👍😀

It's our Family Lego session on Saturday 24 January from 10:00-12:00. Why not challenge yourself with one of our Lego construction cards? Quality time with your children and we tidy up afterwards! All welcome, see you then 😀
