31/08/26, 05:10 - Ware fire station were mobilised to a fire in the play area at Ware Priory. This was a domestic wheelie bin that had been set fire at the entrance gate to the park.
The crew extinguished the fire, wet down nearby bins and checked the Priory grounds for any further fires.

27/08/26 - 19:10 Ware Fire Station were called to Buntingford to assist with flooding following heavy rain fall.

Following this, the Ware appliance was requested to standby at Buntingford Fire Station to assist with cover during wide spread flooding in the north of the county.

Fire Control received 60 calls in just 90 minutes, with crews attending more than 20 incidents to help keep people safe.

Buntingford Fire Station have their open day on 5th Sept, 10am - 3pm!

Last thursdays training session saw the crew visit Stevenage fire station to use the smoke house for breathing apparatus training.
Whilst there, the crew also took the oppertunity to familiarise themselves with the Aerial Ladder Platform that is stationed there.
At 45m it is the tallest of the 2 ALP's in Hertfordshire (the other located in Watford)

23/08/26, 07:11 - Ware Fire Station were mobilised to a property on Woodlands Road, Hertford following the activation of a carbon monoxide alarm.
Crews in breathing apparatus carried out testing with a gas monitor before isolating the gas intake and ventilating the property. The incident was handed over to the gas board.

18/08/26 - 21:29, Ware Fire Station were mobilised to a large fire next to the bandstand behind Ware Priory. An appliance from Hertford also attended due to the size of the fire.

This was believed to be started deliberately and police were called to scene, if anyone has any information or was in the area around the time of the call and saw something of note, please contact FireStoppers on the anonymous line.
