It was a pleasure to visit Whitgreave Primary School for their Careers Day and see pupils learning about the wide range of opportunities available to them in the future.

It was fantastic to meet professionals from a variety of sectors, including construction, beauty, healthcare and public service, who took the time to share their experiences and inspire the next generation.

I was particularly impressed by the confidence and enthusiasm of the pupils during our Q&A session. They asked some excellent questions about the role of Mayor and public service - and who knows, perhaps one of them could be Wolverhampton's Mayor in the future!

Thank you to Whitgreave Primary School for the warm welcome and for organising such an inspiring event.

It was a pleasure to attend the "Overcoming Overthinking" event and join others in exploring the importance of mental and emotional wellbeing.

In today's fast-paced world, many people experience stress, worry and the pressures of daily life. Events such as these provide a valuable opportunity to pause, reflect and learn practical ways to create greater balance and wellbeing.

Thank you to the organisers for hosting such a thought-provoking evening, and to Sister Jayanti for sharing her insights and experience with those in attendance.

✨ A wonderful evening at Compton Care's Midsummer Gala Dinner, bringing together supporters, businesses and community leaders for a fantastic celebration in support of an incredible cause.

The event was a great opportunity to recognise the vital work Compton Care does across the West Midlands, providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care, as well as support for patients and their families when they need it most.

Thank you to Compton Care for the invitation and for hosting such a memorable evening. It was a pleasure to support this special event and see so many people come together in support of the charity's invaluable work.

Starting the weekend with a visit to Healing Minds & Hearts CIC for their Holistic Grief & Loss Support Practitioner Training.

It was inspiring to meet those taking part and to learn more about the organisation's work supporting individuals and families across Wolverhampton through some of life's most difficult challenges.

My thanks to Edit and the team for their warm welcome, and for the important work they do in helping to create a more compassionate and supportive community.

🎂 It was wonderful to attend the reopening of Ab Cakes on Long Knowle Lane in Wednesfield.

Having operated since 2008, it is fantastic to see AB Cakes opening its doors once again after the challenges brought by the pandemic.

It was great to meet the team behind the business and celebrate this exciting new chapter with them.

Wishing AB Cakes every success for the future and thank you for the warm welcome and hospitality.

Today, I was honoured to attend the Falklands Memorial Service at Wolverhampton Cenotaph and lay a wreath in memory of those who served and sacrificed during the Falklands conflict.

As we reflect on the courage and dedication of all who served, we also remember those who never returned home, including Wolverhampton's own Adrian Anslow, who lost his life in 1982 at the age of just 20.

It was particularly moving to see members of the Anslow family in attendance as our city continues to honour Adrian's memory and recognise the sacrifice made by him and so many others.

Lest we forget.

🏃‍♂️ It was great to visit Wolverhampton & Bilston Athletics Club yesterday and learn more about the fantastic work taking place at the Aldersley Leisure Village.

The visit provided an opportunity to meet coaches, athletes and volunteers, and to see how the club continues to support people of all ages through grassroots participation, training and competition.

Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome and for sharing your passion for athletics. Clubs such as these play an important role in encouraging participation in sport and developing talent within our city.
