KoKMA Removes Illicit Metal Barriers Within Adabraka

KORLE klottey Municipal Assembly
Works department has uncovered and removed several metal barriers that had been deliberately installed inside side drains around the Adabraka Goil area and later covered with concrete.

These obstructions had significantly restricted stormwater flow. With the barriers cleared, stormwater can now flow freely.

This is an intervention expected to improve drainage and reduce the risk of flooding.

KoKMA Engages Osu Alata Mantse on Osu 24-Hour Economy Market Project

The Municipal Chief Executive of the Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly (KoKMA) Hon. Alfred Allotey-Gaisie has engaged the Osu Alata Mantse on the commencement of the Government's 24-Hour Economy Market Project at the Osu Day Market.

The MCE announced that the contract has been awarded and the contractor has taken possession of the site. The modern market will feature a three-storey facility with an abattoir, parking spaces, and improved trading infrastructure, while creating employment opportunities for local youth and artisans.

The Traditional Council welcomed the project, pledged its support for its successful implementation, and offered prayers for a smooth and successful completion.

Hon. Alfred Allotey-Gaisie Meets New Russian Ambassador to Advance Cooperation

The Municipal Chief Executive of the Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly, Hon. Alfred Allotey-Gaisie, today paid a courtesy call on H.E. Andrei Ordash, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Ghana.

The meeting reaffirmed the strong and longstanding partnership between KoKMA and the Russian Federation, with discussions focusing on capacity building through RUDN University, the Kotovsk–KoKMA Sister-City partnership, youth and cultural exchanges, and future opportunities for investment and municipal cooperation.

H.E. Andrei Ordash pledged to strengthen the mutual friendship between KoKMA and the Russian Federation and expressed his commitment to deepening cooperation for the benefit of both parties.

The gesture forms part of KoKMA’s ongoing efforts to engage key faith-based stakeholders and invite them to partner in promoting sustainable investment and development within the municipality.
