TMPC Central Regional Office Engages 12 Apostles Church on Regulatory Compliance -
Friday, 17th July, 2026

The Central Regional Office of the Traditional Medicine Practice Council (TMPC), led by the Regional Officer, Madam Gifty Senoo, paid a courtesy visit to the National Headquarters of the 12 Apostles Church at Kormantse during the launch of the Church's graduation programme, which is scheduled for September 2026.
The engagement aimed to educate and sensitise the Church's Faith Healers (Prophets and Prophetesses) on the provisions of the Traditional Medicine Practice Act, 2000 (Act 575) and the importance of complying with the regulatory requirements governing faith healing practice in Ghana.
The visit also provided an opportunity to encourage eligible faith healers, through their National Executives, to register with the Council. Registration ensures that practitioners operate legally and that their services are recognised and regulated in accordance with the laws of Ghana.

TMPC remains committed to promoting public safety by fostering compliance, strengthening stakeholder partnerships, and ensuring the delivery of safe, ethical, and regulated traditional and alternative medicine services across the country.

TMPC Acting Registrar Joins Minister for Health on Courtesy Call to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II - Friday, 24th July, 2026

The Acting Registrar of the Traditional Medicine Practice Council (TMPC), Dr. (MH) Yakubu Tobor Yusuf, joined the Minister for Health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, and a delegation from the Ministry of Health and its agencies on a courtesy call to His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, at the Manhyia Palace.

The visit provided an opportunity for the Minister to brief His Majesty on key achievements and ongoing reforms within Ghana's health sector, including the implementation of the Government's Free Primary Healthcare and Mahama Cares initiatives, efforts to recruit more health workers, accelerate the completion of major health infrastructure projects, and ensure the equitable distribution of healthcare professionals across the country.

The engagement underscores the Ministry of Health's commitment to strengthening collaboration with traditional authorities to advance quality, accessible, and equitable healthcare delivery for all Ghanaians. TMPC remains committed to supporting these national efforts by promoting the safe, effective, and regulated practice of traditional and alternative medicine.
