Kuntaur Area Council Community Radio Honors Youngest Listener Amat Ndow for Promoting Social Cohesion

Kuntaur Area Council Community Radio, KTRAC, has honored Amat Ndow of Jamali Musa as its youngest active listener in recognition of his wisdom and contributions to the station’s phone-in programs.
Station Manager Ali Drammeh said he is “deeply inspired by the maturity, insight, and positive ideas shared by young Amat” during discussions on community issues, peacebuilding, and cultural values. Despite his young age, Amat’s regular call-ins have encouraged dialogue, respect, and unity among listeners.
“This presentation is our way of acknowledging his role in nurturing social cohesion and cultural diversity in Kuntaur and beyond,” the station stated. “Amat represents the future of community media – young voices speaking up for peace, understanding, and togetherness.”
KTRAC continues to use its phone-in programs as a platform for all community members, especially children, youth, women, and other marginalized groups, to share ideas and promote development. Management urged other young listeners to follow Amat’s example and take part in shaping conversations that strengthen cultural diversity and social harmony.
Amat’s parents and grandparents expressed appreciation for the recognition of their child in the remote village of Jamali Musa, Sami District, CRR North. The family prayed for the radio station and its management for the laudable gesture.
