Reimagined... Grade 9-12 enroll in the University of Nebraska High School distance learning program.

The American International of Conakry (AISC) is a non-profit, non-denominational, co-educational day school in the Nongo neighborhood, a 10-15 minutes from the U.S Embassy. Inspired by the U.S micro-school model, AISC offers an American, problem-based curriculum and Atwell-style inter-disciplinary workshops, Nursery through 8th grade. With the generous support of the Office of Overseas Schools in

this, their 51st year, they have completely re-imagined their school and renewed their commitment to developing each student's potential. The school year runs from mid-August until mid-June and is divided into three trimesters.

During their visit, they spent time in classrooms, connected with students and teachers, and facilitated engaging workshops and interactive sessions through the performing arts. AIS Conakry students are staying strong and keeping their heads up as they wrap up two demanding weeks of Advanced Placement (AP) exams, demonstrating focus, perseverance, and academic commitment. These internationally recognized exams give students the opportunity to challenge themselves with college-level coursework and showcase their learning on a global scale. We are proud of our students’ hard work and dedication as they continue to pursue academic excellence.
A total of 31 students took exams over 9 subjects, with a total of 64 exams taken!
