🎬Danish film at the Drama International Short Film Festival 🎬

We are delighted to see Danish filmmaker Jonatan Egholm Keis represented at this year’s 49th Drama International Short Film Festival, taking place from 6–12 September in Drama, Greece. 🇩🇰🇬🇷

His short film From This Day Forth has been selected for the festival’s International Student Competition and will be screened on 8 September at Olympia Cinema.

Congratulations to Jonatan Egholm Keis and the team behind From This Day Forth! 👏

Are you living in or visiting Greece this week? 🌕

The Hellenic Ministry of Culture will once again celebrate the August Full Moon with a nationwide programme of cultural events, coordinated by the General Directorate of Antiquities and Cultural Heritage, on Friday, 28 August 2026.

The programme includes cultural events at 61 archaeological sites, monuments and museums, while an additional 65 sites will remain open to visitors with free admission from approximately 19:30/20:00 until 23:00/24:00.

Extending beyond the Full Moon evening itself, this year's celebration also features events on 26, 27, 29 and 30 August. The evening’s programme includes concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions and guided tours at selected locations.

This week, Copenhagen Pride takes place in the heart of Denmark´s capital 🏳️‍🌈🇩🇰

Every year, Copenhagen Pride brings together residents and visitors for a week of cultural events, public discussions, concerts and the annual Pride Parade, making it one of the largest public events in Denmark.

For many international visitors, Pride is also an opportunity to experience Copenhagen during the summer and discover the city's vibrant neighbourhoods, cultural institutions and public spaces.

Whether you are celebrating in Copenhagen or following the festivities from Greece, we wish everyone taking part a wonderful Pride week.

Today, the Faroe Islands celebrate Ólavsøka, the Faroese National Day and the country's most important cultural and public holiday.

The Faroe Islands are a self-governing part of the Kingdom of Denmark, consisting of 18 islands in the North Atlantic known for their dramatic landscapes, rich traditions and strong maritime heritage.

Ólavsøka also marks the annual opening of the Faroese Parliament, Løgtingið, one of the world's oldest parliamentary assemblies, with roots dating back more than 1,000 years.

We extend our warmest wishes to the people of the Faroe Islands on this special day.

🇬🇷☀️ 𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰?

Greece remains one of the most popular holiday destinations among Danish travellers.

According to new figures from Statistics Denmark (Danmarks Statistik), 8% of all long holiday trips taken by Danes are to Greece, making Greece the third most popular destination after Spain and Italy.

We can certainly understand why Greece continues to be a favourite holiday destination for so many Danes. 🇬🇷☀️
