Meet Debbie. Debbie is the person who stays in close contact with our short term students after they arrive into Ireland. She has a B.A. in French and Sociology from NUI Maynooth and a Masters in French from the University of Limerick. She did a 9-month work placement as an English teaching assistant in two high schools in Lens in France as part of her degree, so she knows exactly what it's like to be away from home, experience a new country, culture, and language. In her spare time she loves to switch off by reading fantasy books, travelling and experiencing new cultures!

We had the second of our host get-togethers last night in Kilkenny. Despite the dreadful weather we had a great turnout of both hosts and students.

Linda and Caroline are still in Sweden at the Grow Abroad World Alliance conference and today we were treated to a tour of the Swedish Air Force museum. It's amazing what you learn at these conferences. Our Linda listening to the very knowledgeable guide.

Caroline and Linda are at the Grow Abroad World Alliance conference in Linkoping, Sweden. Tonight, dinner was in this lovely restaurant in the centre of the city.

Caroline and Mandy are still on their mammoth tour of northern Sweden. Today they were at Stiernhooks Gymnasiet. Mandy and Hanna from the school, are admiring the lovely new Small Animal building.

Mandy and Caroline are on a mammoth tour of schools in northern Sweden. Mandy will go home at the weekend and then Linda will come over for the Grow Abroad World Alliance conference next week. This is our office for the next few days

Twice a year we look after a group of young German students coming to Ireland for 9 months. Our August group arrived into Ireland today and are spending their first day in Dublin

Caroline has just been looking after a lovely group of Americans who were in Ireland for a week. They had time in Dublin, saw Trinity and the Book of Kells. Visited The Donkey Sanctuary and saw Water Buffalo and tasted some fabulous cheese. They Visited Tullamore Dew and tasted 5 different whiskeys. They went riding in the Slieve Blooms and had dinner in Kinnity Castle. The next day they saw sheepdogs in action and the Cliffs of Moher. Gavin Cromwell's racing yard was a big hit followed by watching an equine treadmill in action. The Irish National Stud and racing in Kilbeggan finished the week off.
