NIPB successfully completed an Institute Research Council Meeting-2026 under the chairmanship of Dr. Ramcharan Bhattacharya, Director, ICAR-NIPB. Each scientist presented their achievements from last year, followed by a detailed discussion. IRC brainstorm on major leads and the research to be undertaken in the new RPP during 2026-31. The meeting was so engaging that it went for three consecutive days. The director urged all scientists to align their research and formulate their new RPP, which must be demand-driven and farmer-friendly.

संस्थान की राजभाषा पत्रिका "वंशाणु" के तृतीय अंक का विमोचन आज नगर राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन समिति (नराकास), उत्तरी दिल्ली, की 2026, की प्रथम बैठक में नराकास उत्तरी दिल्ली, के अध्यक्ष डॉ. त्रिलोचन मोहापात्रा, के कर कमलो के द्वारा किया गया। अध्यक्ष महोदय के द्वारा संस्थान के इस प्रयास की सराहना की गई। इस अवसर पर संस्थान के निदेशक महोदय, डॉक्टर रामचरण भट्टाचार्य जी के द्वारा जैवप्रौद्योगिकी अनुसंधानों को वंशाणु के माध्यम से सरल भाषा में जन मानस तक पहुंचाने की संस्थान की अपनी दायित्व को पूरा करने की दिशा में एक प्रयास बताया गया।

ICAR-NIPB convened a brainstorming session under the umbrella of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi, on a highly pertinent topic, “Potential and Policies for Genetically Engineered and Gene-Edited Microorganisms for Use as Biologicals in Agriculture,” on 3rd July at NAAS, New Delhi. The session was chaired by Dr. M. L. Jat, President, NAAS, Secretary, DARE & DG ICAR. The session was also graced by Dr. Rajesh S. Gokhale. Secretary, Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, Secretaries of NAAS Dr. A. K. Singh and Dr. B. S. Dwivedi. The session was co-chaired by Professor N.K. Singh, Former National Professor, B.P. Pal Chair, ICAR-NIPB. The program was convened by Dr. R. C. Bhattacharya, Director, ICAR-NIPB, New Delhi, and Dr. Debasis Pattanayak, Principal Scientist, ICAR-NIPB, New Delhi, and co-convened by Dr. Vibha Ahuja, Former Chief General Manager, BCIL. There were four technical sessions, which included deliberations by technical experts. The brainstorming session was attended by many scientists, subject experts, policy experts, and regulators from across the globe, including USA, Australia, UK, and Brazil. The deliberations will be summarised in developing a roadmap and a way forward in this important area.

On 30th June 2026, as part of the ongoing "Khet Bachao Abhiyan", Dr Monika Dalal, along with scientists from ICAR-IARI, visited Tibra village (Ghaziabad dist.) in Uttar Pradesh. The team interacted with the farmers and discussed soil health, soil testing, and balanced fertilizer application in the field. The farmers were also made aware of the judicious use of natural resources.

दिनांक 30 जून 2026 को ग्राम कुंभावास, जिला रेवाड़ी (हरियाणा) में "खेत बचाओ अभियान" के अंतर्गत किसान जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया, जिसमें लगभग 35–40 किसानों ने भाग लिया।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान किसानों को *रासायनिक उर्वरकों के संतुलित एवं दक्षतापूर्ण उपयोग* तथा *जैव उर्वरकों के प्रयोग* के संबंध में विस्तृत जानकारी दी गई। साथ ही मृदा स्वास्थ्य संरक्षण, पोषक तत्वों के संतुलित प्रबंधन तथा टिकाऊ कृषि पद्धतियों को अपनाने के महत्व पर भी चर्चा की गई।

कार्यक्रम का नेतृत्व डॉ. अनिल धौजा (आईएआरआई) ने किया। टीम के सदस्यों में डॉ. गिरीश मेहरा (आईएआरआई), डॉ. सुशील कुमार (आईएआरआई), डॉ. रोहित (आईएएसआरआई), डॉ. प्रदीप कुमार जैन (एनआईपीबी) तथा डॉ. दीपक सिंह बिष्ट (एनआईपीबी) शामिल रहे।

कार्यक्रम में किसानों ने सक्रिय सहभागिता करते हुए वैज्ञानिकों से विभिन्न कृषि संबंधी विषयों पर चर्चा की तथा उर्वरकों के संतुलित उपयोग एवं जैव उर्वरकों को अपनाने में रुचि व्यक्त की।

संस्थान में कार्यरत समस्त वैज्ञानिक/तकनीकी/प्रशासनिक अधिकारीगण एवं कर्मचारीगणों द्वारा दिनांक 29-06-2026 को अपराहन 04.00 बजे राजभाषा हिंदी कार्यशाला का आयोजन, निदेशक महोदय की अध्यक्षता में संस्थान के सभागार में किया गया। इस अवसर पर संस्थान के निदेशक एवं राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन समिति के अध्यक्ष, डॉक्टर रामचरण भट्टाचार्या जी के द्वारा एक बहुत ही रोचक व्याख्यान “हिंदी भाषा में अभिव्यक्ति का आकर्षणः शब्द एवं वाणी का शृंगार” विषय पर दिया गया। संस्थान के सभी कर्मचारीगण कार्यशाला में सक्रीय रूप से भाग लिया।
