التقى السيد محمد علي النفطي، وزير الشؤون الخارجية والهجرة والتونسيين بالخارج، يوم 26 سبتمبر 2026 بنيويورك، بالسيد أنطونيو غوتيريش، الأمين العام لمنظمة الأمم المتحدة، وذلك على هامش مشاركة تونس في أشغال الدورة الـ81 للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة.
وفي مستهلّ هذا اللقاء، نقل الوزير إلى الأمين العام تحيات السيد رئيس الجمهورية وتقدير تونس للمواقف الثابتة والشجاعة التي دأب على التعبير عنها، دفاعا عن القضايا العادلة وفي مقدمتها القضية الفلسطينية.
كما نوّه الوزير بإشادة الأمين العام، في ندوة "افريقيا التي لا يمكن إيقافها" التي انعقدت قبيل الدورة 81 للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، بالتطور الذي حققته تونس في مجال تكنولوجيات الاتصال والذكاء الاصطناعي. وجدّد تأكيد دعم تونس المبدئي والمتواصل للمنظومة متعدّدة الأطراف وللدور المحوري للأمم المتحدة في صون السلم والأمن الدوليين وتعزيز العدالة والشرعية الدولية.
كما ذكّر الوزير بالمساهمة المتواصلة لبلادنا، منذ الاستقلال، في عمليات حفظ السلام التابعة للأمم المتحدة، معربا عن الأمل في مواصلة الأمين العام القادم ترسيخ هذا النهج وضمان امتثال كافة الأطراف للالتزامات الدولية، بما يسهم في تعزيز أسس الأمن والاستقرار والتنمية الشاملة، حمايةً للأجيال القادمة من ويلات الحروب والنزاعات.
ومن جهته، حمّل السيد أنطونيو غوتيريش السيد محمد علي النفطي إبلاغ عبارات التقدير والاحترام إلى السيد رئيس الجمهورية، مشيدا بالقيادة الرشيدة لتونس في التعاطي مع مختلف الأزمات والتحديات التي تواجه المنطقة، وواصفا تونس بأنها «صوت الحكمة في منطقة المتوسط» بفضل ديمقراطيتها الحكيمة ودبلوماسيتها الرصينة اللتين جنبتاها أي أزمات في جوارها المباشر أو الإقليمي.
كما عبّر عن ارتياحه لمستوى التعاون المتميز بين تونس ومنظمة الأمم المتحدة ومختلف هياكلها ووكالاتها المتخصصة، مجددا تقديره للدعم المتواصل الذي تبذله بلادنا للجهود الأممية، ولا سيما تلك الرامية إلى دعم الاستقرار في ليبيا. وأكد، في هذا السياق، استعداد منظمة الأمم المتحدة لمواصلة العمل والتنسيق الوثيق مع تونس، والتفاعل بكل إيجابية مع أية صعوبات تواجهها بلادنا.

M. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Ministre des Affaires Etrangères, de la Migration et des Tunisiens à l’Etranger, a rencontré, le 26 septembre 2026 à New York, M. António Guterres, Secrétaire Général de l’Organisation des Nations Unies, en marge de la participation de la Tunisie aux travaux de la 81ème session de l’Assemblée Générale des Nations Unies.
Au début de cet entretien, le Ministre a transmis au Secrétaire Général les salutations de Monsieur le Président de la République ainsi que l’appréciation de la Tunisie pour les positions constantes et courageuses qu’il n’a cessé d’exprimer, défendant les causes justes, au premier rang desquelles la cause palestinienne.
Le Ministre a également salué les propos du Secrétaire Général, lors du séminaire « L'Afrique qu'on ne peut arrêter » tenu avant la présente session de l’Assemblée Générale, concernant les progrès réalisés par la Tunisie dans le domaine des technologies de la communication et de l’intelligence artificielle. Il a également réitéré le soutien de principe et constant de la Tunisie au système multilatéral et au rôle central de l’Organisation des Nations Unies dans la préservation de la paix et de la sécurité internationales ainsi que dans la promotion de la justice et de la légalité internationales.
Le Ministre a, par ailleurs, rappelé la contribution constante de la Tunisie, depuis l’indépendance, aux opérations de maintien de la paix des Nations Unies, exprimant l’espoir que le prochain Secrétaire Général poursuivra cette approche et veillera au respect, par toutes les parties, de leurs engagements internationaux, contribuant ainsi à consolider les fondements de la sécurité, de la stabilité et du développement inclusif, afin de protéger les générations futures des ravages des guerres et des conflits.
De son côté, M. António Guterres a chargé M. Mohamed Ali Nafti de transmettre ses sentiments d’estime et de respect à Monsieur le Président de la République, saluant la conduite avisée de la Tunisie dans la gestion des différentes crises et des défis auxquels la région est confrontée. Il a qualifié la Tunisie de «voix de la sagesse dans la région méditerranéenne», grâce à sa démocratie avisée et à sa diplomatie mesurée, qui lui ont permis d’éviter toute crise dans son voisinage immédiat ou régional.
Il s’est également félicité du niveau de coopération privilégié entre la Tunisie et l’Organisation des Nations Unies, ainsi qu’avec ses différentes structures et agences spécialisées, renouvelant son appréciation du soutien constant apporté par notre Pays aux efforts des Nations Unies, notamment ceux visant à soutenir la stabilité en Libye.
Dans ce contexte, il a affirmé que l’Organisation des Nations Unies était disposée à poursuivre son action et sa coordination étroite avec la Tunisie et à répondre de manière positive à toute difficulté à laquelle notre Pays pourrait être confronté.

Mr. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, met on 26 September 2026, in New York, with Mr. António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, on the sidelines of Tunisia’s participation in the proceedings of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
At the outset of the meeting, the Minister conveyed to the Secretary-General the greetings of the President of the Republic and Tunisia’s appreciation for the steadfast and courageous positions he has consistently expressed in defence of just causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause.
The Minister also commended the Secretary-General’s praise, in the "Africa That Cannot Be Stopped" seminar held before the current session of the General Assembly, of the progress achieved by Tunisia in the fields of information and communication technologies and artificial intelligence. He renewed Tunisia’s principled and continued support for the multilateral system and for the pivotal role of the United Nations in maintaining international peace and security and promoting justice and international legitimacy.
The Minister also recalled Tunisia’s continued contribution, since independence, to United Nations peacekeeping operations, expressing the hope that the next Secretary-General would continue to uphold this approach and ensure that all parties comply with their international obligations, thereby contributing to strengthening the foundations of security, stability and inclusive development and protecting future generations from the scourge of wars and conflicts.
For his part, Mr. António Guterres asked Mr. Mohamed Ali Nafti to convey his expressions of appreciation and respect to the President of the Republic, commending Tunisia’s wise leadership in addressing the various crises and challenges facing the region. He described Tunisia as a “voice of wisdom in the Mediterranean region”, owing to its prudent democracy and sound diplomacy, which have spared it any crises in its immediate or regional neighbourhood.
He also expressed his satisfaction with the distinguished level of cooperation between Tunisia and the United Nations and its various structures and specialised agencies, renewing his appreciation for the continued support provided by Tunisia to United Nations efforts, particularly those aiming at supporting stability in Libya. In this context, he affirmed the readiness of the United Nations to continue working and maintaining close coordination with Tunisia, and to engage positively with any difficulties facing the country.
