The Kerala state cashew development corporation limited (KSCDC) was incorporated in July 1969 and started its commercial activities in the year 1971 as a company fully owned by the government of Kerala.Now KSCDC is running 30 cashew factories all over Kerala. In these factories more than 25000 workers and 2000 staff members are working. Cashew industry is a labour oriented industry, which employs

mainly women from economically backward class of society and about 95% of workers are women. Corporation is a model employer in the field of cashew industry mainly to protect the interest of workers to provide maximum employment and to give all statutory benefits.
