The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Stella Mary’s College of Engineering, in association with CETAS, successfully organized the Certification Course “Java Full Stack Tech Sprint” from 17–22 August 2026 for III CSE students.

Industry-focused mentorship was delivered by Mr. John Britto, Founder & CEO, SkillSync Pvt. Ltd., along with Ms. Joe Prathesha B, Ms. Rexshilin J, Ms. Viveka D and Ms. Suhana Nuriya M.

From front-end interfaces to back-end logic and database integration, students coded, experimented, collaborated and BUILT through practical sessions at the Big Data & IoT Laboratories. 👨‍💻👩‍💻

From Smart India Hackathon to Global Certifications 🚀

A high-energy and inspiring session, “Hack Your MBA”, was successfully conducted by the Department of Management Studies, Stella Mary’s College of Engineering, in association with Bashers – The Student Community.

The session focused on helping MBA students go beyond the classroom by building industry-relevant skills, exploring opportunities through Smart India Hackathon, and pursuing global certifications that can strengthen their professional profiles.

🔥 “Safety begins with awareness, and awareness saves lives.”

The Youth Red Cross (YRC) Club of Stella Marys College of Engineering successfully organised a Fire & Safety Awareness Programme in association with the Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services, Rajakamangalam Fire & Rescue Station.

The programme provided students and faculty members with valuable practical knowledge on fire prevention, emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures and the safe handling of fire-fighting equipment.
The live demonstrations by the Fire & Rescue personnel made the programme informative, interactive and truly impactful.

The programme was graced by Dr. R. Suresh Premil Kumar, Principal, and Dr. Jenix Rino J, Director, whose addresses encouraged students to embrace innovation, continuous learning and emerging technologies.

Dr. M. Sivaprakash, HoD – Mechanical Engineering, welcomed the gathering, while Dr. A. Sagai Francis Britto introduced the Chief Guest.
