వ్యర్థాలను వనరులుగా మార్చే దిశగా విజయవాడ మున్సిపల్ కార్పొరేషన్ (VMC) మరో ముందడుగు వేసింది.
నిర్మాణాలు, కూల్చివేతల ద్వారా ఉత్పన్నమయ్యే Construction & Demolition (C&D) వ్యర్థాలను సేకరించి, ప్రత్యేక రీసైక్లింగ్ కేంద్రానికి తరలించి శాస్త్రీయ పద్ధతుల్లో ప్రాసెస్ చేస్తున్నారు.
ఈ ప్రక్రియ ద్వారా వ్యర్థాలను తిరిగి నిర్మాణ పనులకు ఉపయోగపడే పదార్థాలుగా మార్చి, సహజ వనరుల వినియోగాన్ని తగ్గించడంతో పాటు అక్రమ చెత్త పారవేతను నివారిస్తున్నారు.

Strengthening the vision of a Swachh Andhra Pradesh! ♻️

A State Review Meeting on the progress of Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0 was conducted with the State Mission Director, SBM(U), Andhra Pradesh, and state officials to review ongoing initiatives, achievements, and future action plans.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) team, led by Ms. Surabhi Malik, Director, SBM(U), along with Shri Manoj Mathur and Shri Deepak Goel, reviewed the state's progress across key SBM(U) 2.0 components, including waste management, sanitation, resource recovery, and sustainable urban development.

The review reaffirmed Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to accelerating sanitation reforms and achieving higher standards of urban cleanliness, ensuring cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable cities for all.

Driving Sustainable Solutions for a Cleaner Andhra Pradesh!
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) team, led by Ms. Surabhi Malik, Director, SBM(U), along with Shri Manoj Mathur and Shri Deepak Goel, visited key sustainable waste management and clean energy facilities in Guntur and Tenali.
The team reviewed the E-Autos and Solar Energy Plant in Guntur, which are promoting clean mobility and renewable energy adoption. In Tenali, they inspected the Coconut Fiber Unit and Composting Unit, showcasing innovative practices that convert waste into valuable resources while supporting sustainable livelihoods and environmental protection.
These initiatives reflect Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to strengthening urban sanitation, resource recovery, renewable energy, and sustainable waste management, paving the way for cleaner and greener cities across the state.
