松江の水郷祭（すいごうさい）花火大会（はなびたいかい）は、8月1日（土）と2日（日）にあります。
花火（はなび）やお祭（まつ）りを楽(たの)しみにしている人は、暑（あつ）さに気（き）をつけてください。熱中症（ねっちゅうしょう）にならないように、水（みず）を飲（の）んで、涼（すず）しくしてください。
花火（はなび）の会場（かいじょう）は、宍道湖（しんじこ）のまわりです。宍道湖(しんじこ)のまわりでは、車（くるま）の通（とお）れない場所（ばしょ）があります。
車(くるま)で来（く）る人(ひと)は、臨時（りんじ）の駐車場（ちゅうしゃじょう）に車を止（と）めて、シャトルバスを使（つか）ってください。
その日は道（みち）が混（こ）んだり、バスのルートが変（か）わったりするかもしれません。気(き)をつけてください。
今年（ことし）は、お金(かね)を払(はら)う必要(ひつよう)がある席(せき)があります。場所（ばしょ）は、島根県立美術館（しまねけんりつびじゅつかん）の近（ちか）くや、松江市役所（まつえしやくしょ）の近くです。チケットは、当日（とうじつ）に会場（かいじょう）で買（か）えます。数（かず）に限（かぎ）りがあるので、早（はや）めに行（い）ってください。
お金（かね）を払（はら）わなくても、花火(はなび)は見(み)ることができます。でも、当日（とうじつ）の午後6時（ごごろくじ）より前(まえ)に、場所取りをしてはいけません。
また、立(た)ち止（と）まって見(み)てはいけない場所（ばしょ）もあります。ルールを守（まも）って、花火大会(はなびたいかい)を楽（たの）しんでください。

Matsue's Suigousai Fireworks Festival will take place on August 1st (Sat) and 2nd (Sun).
Those looking forward to the festivities and fireworks, please be sure to stay cool and not to get overheated.
There will be traffic restrictions around the vicinity of the fireworks
venue (Lake Shinji). If you are coming to the event by car, please use temporary parking and come by shuttle bus.
For people planning on commuting to work or being out and about, please be aware that bus routes may change and that there will be heavy traffic.
This year there will be a paid viewing areas on Lake Shinji's east side,around the Shimane Art Museum, and near Matsue City Hall. Entrance tickets to these viewing areas will be sold on the days of the festival near the venue (quantity is limited however).
You will still be able to view the fireworks even if you don't pay to one of the viewing areas, but you are not allowed to get a spot before 6pm the day of the event. Also, please keep in mind there are also locations in the event vicinity you are not allowed to stop and stand.

食中毒(しょくちゅうどく)に注意(ちゅうい)しましょう！！
気温(きおん)や湿度(しつど)が高(たか)くなる夏(なつ)は、細菌(さいきん)が増(ふ)えやすくなり、食中毒(しょくちゅうどく)の危険(きけん)が高(たか)まります。安全(あんぜん)においしく食(た)べるために①～③に気(き)をつけましょう！
① 早(はや)めに食(た)べましょう。
テイクアウトした食品(しょくひん)はできるだけすぐに持(も)ち帰(かえ)って食(た)べましょう。
② 暑(あつ)い中(なか)で、そのまま置(お)いておくのはやめましょう。
食中毒菌(しょくちゅうどくきん)が増(ふ)えやすい温度(おんど)（約(やく)20℃～50℃）に置(お)く時間(じかん)をできるだけ短(みじか)くしましょう。すぐに食(た)べることができない場合(ばあい)は冷蔵庫(れいぞうこ)に入(い)れましょう。
③ しっかり手(て)を洗(あら)いましょう。

Watch out for food poisoning!
As heat and humidity rise in the summer, bacteria reproduce quickly and the risk of food poisoning goes up. So please mind the following tips for safely enjoying your food:
① Eat foods soon after they are prepared
Takeout meals should be eaten as soon as possible after bringing them home.
② Avoid exposing food to heat and humidity
Limit the food’s exposure to temperatures that harmful bacteria multiply quickly at (approx. 20℃～50℃) as much as possible.
③ Wash your hands well
Be sure to wash your hands before eating to prevent spreading harmful bacteria to your food.

日本(にほん)には、「市県民税(しけんみんぜい)」という税金(ぜいきん)があります。
これは、あなたが住(す)んでいる地域(ちいき)（市(し)や県(けん)）に払(はら)うものです。いくら払(はら)うかは、あなたが去年(きょねん)1年間(いちねんかん)にもらった給料(きゅうりょう)などで決(き)まります。
市県民税(しけんみんぜい)は、職場(しょくば)に払(はら)うときと、直接(ちょくせつ)市役所(しやくしょ)に払(はら)うときがあります。
直接(ちょくせつ)市役所(しやくしょ)に払(はら)う人(ひと)には、もうすぐ市役所(しやくしょ)からお知(し)らせが届(とど)きます。
お知(し)らせには、あなたが払(はら)わないといけない税金(ぜいきん)がいくらなのか、いつまでに払(はら)う必要(ひつよう)があるかが書(か)いてあります。また、税金(ぜいきん)を銀行(ぎんこう)で払(はら)うための納付書(のうふしょ)が入(はい)っています。お知(し)らせが届(とど)いた人(ひと)は、忘(わす)れずに払(はら)ってください。1回(かい)で払(はら)うか、4回(かい)に分(わ)けて払(はら)うことができます。金額(きんがく)の合計(ごうけい)は同(おな)じです。
今年(ことし)お知(し)らせが来(き)た税金(ぜいきん)は、松江市(まつえし)から引(ひ)っ越(こ)したり、帰国(きこく)しても、払(はら)ってもらう必要(ひつよう)があります。注意(ちゅうい)してください。

In Japan there is a form of taxation called municipal tax which is paid to the region you are resident in, and is based on your earnings for the previous year.
There are cases where this tax is taken from your wages and cases where it must be paid directly to the city office.
A letter containing a notice of payable tax will soon be delivered to those who must pay directly. Please pay within the period written on the notice.
You have the option to pay in a lump sum or within 4 instalments. Both options have the same total sum. All the necessary invoices will be provided alongside the tax notice so you can easily choose either option.
Note: all those sent a tax notice must pay even if they move city or country.

市役所(しやくしょ)からピンク色(ぴんくいろ)の封筒(ふうとう)が届(とど)きましたか？
それは、国民健康保険(こくみんけんこうほけん)の保険料(ほけんりょう)のお知(し)らせです。
銀行(ぎんこう)・郵便局(ゆうびんきょく)・コンビニエンスストアで保険料(ほけんりょう)を払(はら)うための紙(かみ)が１２枚(まい)入(はい)っています。右下(みぎした)の数字(すうじ)の順番(じゅんばん)に、毎月(まいつき)、紙(かみ)に書(か)いてある日(ひ)までに払(はら)ってください。
健康保険(けんこうほけん)に入(はい)っていると、病院(びょういん)であなたが払(はら)うお金(かね)が少(すくな)なくなります。大切(たいせつ)なものです。忘(わす)れずに払(はら)ってください。
口座振替(こうざふりかえ)の手続(てつづ)きをした人(ひと)は、銀行口座(ぎんこうこうざ)から自動的(じどうてき)に支払(しはら)います。

To national health insurance holders

Did you receive a pink envelope from Matsue City Hall?
This is a notice of your insurance premium. There are also 12 payment slips that you can use to pay at convenience stores, banks and post offices. On the bottom right you can see the date so you can tell which month each slip is for.
You need to pay these to use national health insurance and greatly reduce the cost of hospital and dental visits, so please pay in time.
This does not concern those who set up automatic deduction from their bank accounts.

Disaster Prevention Training for Foreign Residents (July 12th, 2026)

At this “Disaster Prevention Training for Foreign Residents”, you can learn about what to do in the case of a disaster.

At the end of this training, let’s eat emergency rations together with the Japanese volunteers and communicate with them in easy Japanese!

Details:
1) A disaster prevention course on what to do when a disaster occurs here in Japan.
2) Experience an emergency workshop. In this workshop you can experience constructing a cardboard bed, being in a smoke-filled house, using a fire extinguisher, and making disaster prevention items.
3) Eat emergency rations together with Japanese volunteers and communicate with them in easy Japanese.
* Emergency rations are food that can be readily eaten without cooking. For example, rice prepared with hot water, cookies, etc.
