August Child & Youth Programs Updates! 🧒⚽

Check out this month's CFAY FFR Ahoy Magazine to keep your kids active this fall and give yourself a well-deserved break:

Give Parents A Break: Enjoy a kid-free evening on Saturday, Sept. 5, from 2 - 8 p.m. This is available at Gridley Lane CDC & Ikego CDC for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Registration and payment of $48 per child are due by Friday, August 28!

Fall Youth Sports: The '26 YSF Fall Sports sessions are kicking off soon, with Soccer beginning August 10 and Start Smart Soccer on August 24. Make sure to register for the Junior Run Club by August 21!

Volunteer Opportunities: The Youth Sports Department is always seeking volunteer coaches to provide a fun and rewarding experience for participants. If interested, email [email protected].

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Ikego Youth Programs open house last Saturday!

We're excited to announce the facility's ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday, August 10 at 10:30 a.m. Come out and celebrate with us! The Ikego Youth Programs Building is about a three-minute walk from Ikego Elementary School right before you make the turn to the school.

And don't forget to stop by the next Parent Involvement Board meeting next Wednesday, August 12. We'll be holding it here at the Ikego Youth Programs Building! All CYP parents are invited!

⚓ Welcome New Families to Yokosuka! 🇯🇵✨

PCSing to a new duty station is a major milestone, and we want to help make your transition as smooth as possible. If you are attending Area Orientation Brief (AOB), CFAY CYP has you covered!

Did you know that free childcare is provided by CYP at no cost during your briefing? Care is available starting 30 minutes before your classes begin until 30 minutes after they end (restrictions apply).

Here are the quick steps to secure your spot:

1️⃣ Check Availability: Contact CDC, SAC, or FCC to find an open slot. Please note: Registration must be completed in advance!

2️⃣ School-Age Children: For school-age care, kids must be enrolled in a DoDEA Elementary School. SAC programs offer care before and after school during the school year, as well as full-day care during Summer, Spring, and Winter breaks.
