LESOTHO LAUNCHES PARTICIPATION IN ALL FASHION SOURCING CAPE TOWN 2026

Maseru, Lesotho | 10 June 2026

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Business Development , in partnership with LNDC and BEDCO, today officially launched Lesotho's participation in the All Fashion Sourcing Cape Town 2026 Exhibition, to be held from 14–16 July 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa.

Through the Regional Value Chain Lesotho Plus (RVCL+) Project, jointly financed by the European Union (EU) and BMZ and implemented by GIZ, fifteen (15) Basotho apparel MSMEs will participate in the exhibition to showcase their products, access new markets, and establish international business linkages.

Honourable Minister Motlatsi Maqelepo reaffirmed Government's commitment to supporting MSMEs, promoting exports, and positioning Lesotho as a competitive sourcing and manufacturing destination.

Through this initiative, we are showcasing the best of Lesotho to the world, creating new opportunities for our businesses, and strengthening our position as a competitive apparel sourcing destination in Africa.

MTIBD staff in Maseru today warmly welcomed the Honourable Minister Motlatsi Maqelepo following his recent appointment after the reshuffle.

In his address to staff, the Minister expressed appreciation for joining the MTIBD family and emphasized the importance of teamwork, dedication, and service excellence in responding to the country’s unemployment challenges.
