High Commissioner Zahid Raza received in his office Honourable Mrs. Aneetah Ghoorah, Ombudsperson of Children. She briefed about the role and work of her office. Discussions focussed on establishing bilateral cooperation to share good practices to save vulnerable children. The High Commission facilitated an online meeting between the Drug Regulatory Authority (DRAP) of Pakistan and officials from Mauritius Health Services and Mauritius Pharmacy Board. The two sides exchanged their profiles and briefed about their activities. The interaction provided opportunity to introduce potential of Pakistani pharmaceutical sector to the Mauritius policy makers.

On the 78th death anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the nation pays tribute to its founding father whose unwavering resolve changed the course of history and gave birth to Pakistan.

As Stanley Wolpert aptly said:
“Few individuals significantly alter the course of history. Fewer still modify the map of the world. Hardly anyone can be credited with creating a nation-state. Mohammad Ali Jinnah did all three.”

His enduring legacy continues to inspire us to uphold Unity, Faith, Discipline, and to work towards a strong, peaceful and prosperous Pakistan. 🇵🇰

To celebrate Allama Iqbal Day and 150th birthday of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, High Commissioner Zahid Raza received the Executive members of Friends of Pakistan (FoP) at his office. In collaboration with FoP, a seminar on Allama Iqbal’s life and poetry will be held. On Quaid e Azam’s 150th birthday, a program with M-Kids will be held at the High Commission. High Commissioner appreciated the services of FoP in promoting Pakistan-Mauritius relations.
