Did you know? Before he was the Quaid, he was a teenage prodigy who took London by storm. As part of our series celebrating his 150th birth year, here are 5 fast facts from his student years:

1. At just 16, Jinnah’s legendary legal genius was already on full display. Faced with a rigid British requirement to pass a mandatory Latin exam to enter law school, 16-year-old Jinnah drafted a petition so brilliantly logical that the council granted him a rare exemption. His intellect paved the way for him to become one of history’s youngest barristers at just 19!
2. Even as a student, Jinnah possessed a profound sense of self-identity and vision. Showing incredible foresight, the teenager formally petitioned to drop his traditional childhood surname suffix "-bhai" (Mahomedalli Jinnahbhai), consciously streamlining his name to the identity history would forever honor: Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
3. Jinnah chose Lincoln’s Inn for its world-class library. Today, his bronze bust stands there permanently on a 6-foot pedestal looking out as a man who masterfully utilized the power of constitutional law to change the course of history. He remains the only historical figure in the collection uniquely sculpted wearing his traditional headwear the Jinnah cap.
4. His signature double-breasted suits were custom-tailored on London's elite Savile Row, complemented by a flawless collection of silk ties he rarely wore twice.
5. Before conquering the legal world, Jinnah was drawn to the performing arts. He spent his free time in London theaters and even successfully auditioned to be a professional Shakespearean stage actor before his father steered him back to law.
