Dhulikhel Hospital, in collaboration with the Nepal Cycle Society, is organizing an Immediate Response and Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for Cyclists.

Cycling brings adventure, fitness, and community—but knowing what to do when an emergency happens can make all the difference. This hands-on training will equip cyclists with essential skills to respond confidently until professional medical help arrives.

What You’ll Learn:

• Assess and respond to emergencies
• Perform CPR and choking relief
• Manage bleeding and fractures
• Use an AED
• Bike-specific first aid

Mr. Sachin Makaju Shrestha from Syaahaar participated in the Capstone Accelerator for Emerging Entrepreneurs, organized by the U.S. Embassy Nepal and the International Development Institute.

The three-day program focused on key areas including exports, entrepreneurship, corporate governance, and corporate law. Participants also had the opportunity to showcase their products, present business pitches, build professional networks, and explore potential avenues for support and collaboration.

This experience reflects Syaahaar’s continued commitment to innovation, responsible business practices, and growth in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

नेपाल सरकारको स्वास्थ्य विमा बोर्डबाट निर्धारित स्वास्थ्य बीमा थैलिमा भएको आर्थिक तथा प्राविधिक सीमितताका कारण स्थगन भएको स्वास्थ्य बीमा गत असार ३० गते विमा बोर्डले परिमार्जित गरेको, आर्थिक सहजता र भुक्तानीको सुनिश्चिततामा आश्वासन प्राप्त भई आएकोले मिति २०८३ भदौ १ गतेदेखि हाल बहिरंग सेवा (OPD
Service) मा स्वास्थ्य बीमा कार्यक्रम पुनः सुचारु गरिने व्यहोरा सम्पूर्ण सेवाग्राहीहरूलाई जानकारी गराईन्छ ।

We are pleased to share that two-day PFCCS courses were successfully conducted for two groups at Dhulikhel Hospital. A total of 46 participants—including faculty members, residents, medical officers, paramedics and nursing staff from the Departments of Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine, and Anaesthesia—took part in this intensive training focused on the care of critically ill paediatric patients.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our international faculty, Dr. Mudit Mathur from Kaiser Permanente and Dr. Joram Nyandat from MTRH, Kenya, for their invaluable contribution in organizing and conducting the sessions. Their expertise and dedication greatly enriched the learning experience.

The course was highly effective, fruitful, and well appreciated by all participants. It was made possible through the generous support of the inaugural AMPATH global cross-partnership grant 2026, with Dr. Anish Joshi from the Department of Paediatrics as the Dhulikhel Hospital site PI.

Looking ahead, we are committed to conducting this course regularly, ensuring that our healthcare teams and those from surrounding hospitals continue to strengthen their skills and deliver the highest quality of care to children in critical need.
