Hawke’s Bay Anniversary is a chance to celebrate what makes this part of NZ so special.

Tomorrow, our teams around the country will be taking part in New Zealand ShakeOut 2026.

At 1.30 pm on 21 October, our teams will stop what they’re doing and practise the three steps that could save a life in an earthquake: Drop, Cover, and Hold on.

New Zealand sits on one of the most seismically active regions in the world, and being prepared isn’t just good practice; it’s something every workplace and community should take seriously.

We’re proud to take part in a national moment that reminds all of us, whether at work, at home, or out on the road, that knowing what to do when the ground shakes really matters.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, our Auckland Area Manager, Jeya, took a moment to do something simple and powerful with the team.

He shared a short speech on mental health, then asked everyone to turn to the person next to them and say something kind. A small gesture that created a genuine moment of connection, with a few slices of pizza to make it even better. 🍕

We know that the wellbeing of our people isn’t just good for them; it’s good for everything we do. When our team feels seen, valued, and supported, that shows up in the work, in the culture, and in the communities we serve every day.

A huge thank you to Jeya for leading by example and creating that space for the team. This is what a people-first culture looks like in practice.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and it’s a timely reminder of just how close to home this cause hits. Breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting women in New Zealand. 1 in 10 women will be diagnosed with it in their lifetime, and more than 650 people die from it every year across Aotearoa.

The Breast Cancer Foundation NZ works tirelessly to fund life-saving research, education, and patient support, helping more people get diagnosed earlier, access better treatment, and move forward with their lives.

Last Sunday, some of our team laced up their shoes and joined thousands of others at the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ Pink Ribbon Walk in Auckland. 🎀

Walking together is a small act. But when communities show up for a cause that touches so many families and whānau, small acts add up to something meaningful.

We’re proud of the team who laced up and walked for the ones they love.

Spring is here, and for our posties out on the road, that means navigating unpredictable weather, wet and slippery surfaces after spring showers, increased allergens, and more insects and pests active on the routes they ride every day, all while making sure your mail gets where it needs to go.

We take the safety of our team seriously, and this time of year we're reminding our riders to stay alert to changing conditions, check the forecast before heading out, take care on wet surfaces, and keep focused on the road ahead.

Some milestones worth celebrating at DX Mail. 🎉

Over the past couple of months, we've had three incredible team members clock up some serious time with us.

Rob Waide and David Ellis are both marking 10 years with DX Mail. And Tereau Umaki, celebrating 7 years with the team.

Between them, that's 27 years of showing up, getting the job done, and being part of what makes DX Mail the business it is.
