Ola/Hello! I am Murilo, a curious and motivated student with a strong interest in mathematics and science.

I'll be arriving in Aotearoa in January 2027 for 5 months as an exchange student.

I love meeting new people, discovering different cultures and lifestyles, travelling, and exploring new places. I live with my parents, older brother and our five dogs, and I enjoy family time, especially sharing meals together.

TBT: First Italian woman in space wearing her AFS shirt in 2014! When Samantha Cristoforetti went from a small village in Italy to Minnesota with AFS, her American host Mother, knowing about her space curiosity, encouraged Samantha to attend space camp! It was a major stepping stone toward her career as an astronaut.

Hola! I'm Almendra, I'm 17 and I'm an exchange student from Peru 🇵🇪 👋.

I love cooking (especially making desserts!) and am passionate about sharing food with others.

I also enjoy staying active through bike riding and going to the gym, and value exploring new places, often travelling outside my small city to relax and discover new surroundings with my family.

I'm so excited to experience New Zealand’s culture, share my love of food and family traditions, and build meaningful connections with you!

Kia ora! I'm Vincent from Switzerland 🇨🇭 and can't wait to spend time in Aotearoa's nature. I'm an active, adventurous Scout member. I also love snowboarding, maths and physics, sometimes competing in national academic tournaments.

I'll be 16 years and 10 months when I arrive in New Zealand in January. I can't wait to spend time with my host family through shared meals, game nights, and outings!

Airports are bittersweet places. Places of goodbyes and endings, but also new beginnings. Was there a time in your life when saying goodbye to the norm was worth it?
