Kia ora Springlands whānau,

As mentioned in last week's newsletter, the Board of Trustees and I have formally accepted Dona Ferrier-Ferguson’s resignation from her position as Deputy Principal.

I would like to acknowledge and thank Dona for her many years of dedicated service to Springlands School.

We have now begun the process of appointing our next Deputy Principal. We are looking for an experienced senior leader who is keen to be a part of moving our fabulous school forward. The position has been advertised in the Education Gazette, and we are seeking an experienced senior leader who will build on Dona’s contribution and play an important role in the continued growth and success of our school.

If you know someone who may be a great fit for the role, feel free to share the vacancy with them.

Springlands School entered 2 teams in the Primary School Tackle Tournament last Wednesday. Both teams played really well and improved as the day went on. Springlands Storm came in 5th place and Springlands Warriors won the tournament and now qualify for the Tasman 7s Tournament in Nelson. Well done to all players and a big thankyou to the coaches and parents who helped out on the day.

🌟Jump Jam Strictly 2026🌟

We are incredibly proud of our two Jump Jam teams who competed today. The standard was high, cheering loud, and smiles huge. Thank you to our tamariki for their dedication to practices, positive attitudes and the manawanuitanga they have shown while learning their routines. A big thank you also to our fabulous coaches Miss Nixon, Miss Haley and Mrs Crosswell, our teams couldn’t have done it without you.
