Today, Police are searching an area of the Christchurch red zone in relation to missing person Rowena Walker.

Detective Senior Sergeant Jo Carolan says members of the community may notice an increased Police presence while the search is undertaken.

Have you seen Braydon?

Police are appealing to the public for sightings of Braydon, reported missing from Christchurch.

Braydon was last seen on England Street in Linwood on Monday 14 September and hasn't been seen or heard from since.

Police and Braydon's family have concerns for his welfare and would like to see him return home.

If you have seen Braydon or know his whereabouts or movements, please call 105 and reference file number 260918/8420.

Ferry Road between Charlesworth Street and Waterman Place is now open following a crash around 5.30am.

Two people were taken to hospital, one in a critical condition and the other with moderate injuries.

Police thank motorists for their patience as emergency services worked at the scene.

State Highway 1, Makikihi is closed at the intersection with O’Neills Road following a crash.

The single vehicle crash was reported at around 2:20pm.

Initial indications are that there are serious injuries.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
