Lachlan, a Bohally student, is going to carry out a fundraising effort by walking around Grovetown Lagoon. Please see the poster below.

We are concerned about the inanga at the Lagoon. We have talked to the freshwater scientist at Council. The dams in the lagoon outlet are in place while the flood gate is under repair. Council will get a contractor to create a channel through the dams so that the fish can get past. Thanks for all the concern, fish passage is so important.

Tomorrow there will be a crane working on the damaged floodgate at the northern outlet. People will not be able to complete the circuit track. Sorry for any inconvenience.

This Sunday's working bee has been cancelled, due to wet conditions.

However, Forest and Bird have organised a Junior Landcare family planting this Sunday, at Taylor River. From 9.30am to 12.30pm.

If you are interested in attending this event, please register your interest by going to this link below, so they know how many to feed for lunch.

On Thursday some members of the Royal NZ Air Force from Woodbourne came out to the lagoon to do some work for us.

They distributed mulch around young trees, laid a concrete floor for a picnic table and made a small footbridge.

Thanks very much for your work! Hope you enjoyed being out at the Lagoon.
