UPDATE re Mohua ECE & Schools today (Tuesday 2nd June) - Late start to school & morning buses.

With the current weather situation, Go Bus have made the decision to NOT run the school buses this morning for the following schools: Central Tākaka, Tākaka Primary, Motupipi and Golden Bay High Schools. This change does not include Collingwood Area School who has buses running as normal this morning & school for normal hours.
At this stage, our schools plans to open at 11.00am, and we will confirm this by 9.00am.

✨ Recently, we had an amazing day of Interschool Rippa Rugby with all the primary schools in Mohua — Motupipi, Central Tākaka, Tākaka Primary and Collingwood Area School. It was great to play our friends from the other schools. Everyone displayed fantastic sportsmanship, and there was some great competition throughout the day.

A big thank you to everyone who came along to support our students. Thanks also to Joe from Tasman Community Rugby for organising the event, snd TPS for hosting us all 🏉

☀️It was an idyllic day recently when our Year 5/6 students finally had their rescheduled Have a Go School Sail Day. For many of us, it was our first time ever sailing! We definitely used lots of our Resilience school value and Tom & the team from Pohara Boat Club kept us safe. We loved assembling our boats as well as doing a great scavenger hunt around the Boat Club. Aren’t we lucky to have such an incredible community resource on our doorstep ✨

🧠It was great to have Emma from Brain Injury Top of the South visit our students this week. We learned all about our brain, how incredible it is and how we need to protect it from possible injury. It was fascinating, and really valuable learning!
