Did you know your next hunt could help put nutritious meals on the tables of local whānau?

We're supporting Game Changer NZ, an incredible initiative that connects hunters, butchers, donors, and food banks to turn donated wild game into quality meat for families doing it tough.

- Hunters provide the animals - Communities help fund the processing - Butchers prepare the meat - Food banks distribute it to those who need it most

If you're a hunter and would like to make a real difference in your community, we'd love to hear from you. Your donation can help provide healthy, high-quality protein to local families and individuals facing hardship.

Practice Lead (Part-Time – 20 hrs/week)
Mohua Social Services – Tākaka

We are seeking an experienced and supportive Practice Lead to join our team.

This role combines practice leadership, supervision, and team coordination, supporting staff to deliver responsive, whānau-centred services while maintaining strong alignment with organisational values, contracts, and best practice standards.

We’re looking for someone who:
✔ Has strong social work experience and sound professional judgement
✔ Brings experience in providing leadership, guidance, or mentoring to others
✔ Is confident supporting reflective practice and decision-making
✔ Values collaboration and a strengths-based approach
✔ Holds (or is working towards) Social Work Registration, or has equivalent experience

On Monday 13 April, representatives of the Tinbum organising committee presented a cheque for $2,500 to Mohua Social Services. The NBS Tinbum is made possible by strong community support, and organisers are proud to give back to the vital work Mohua Social Services does locally.

New General Manager Stephanie Doucet expressed her gratitude, saying the donation will directly support their services and make a meaningful difference to the community.
