⚽️ Golden Bay Inter-School Football Tournament ⚽️

What a fantastic day of football for TPS! We took eight teams along, and our tamariki played absolutely fabulously. They showed our school values, awesome sportsmanship and some amazing football skills. It was awesome to see so many of our tamariki getting involved and having a go.

🥇 TPS Pīwakawaka – Year 3/4 Girls – 1st
🥉 TPS Kahu – Year 3/4 Boys – 3rd
🥈 Wāhine Toa – Year 5/6 Girls – 2nd
🥉 Mana Wāhine – Year 5/6 Girls – 3rd
🥈 TPS Warriors – Year 5/6 Boys – 2nd

A special mention to all of our teams who played without subs. They worked incredibly hard throughout the day, with very little break between games. A huge thank you to the boys who played up to make sure we had enough players on the field — we really appreciated you stepping up.

And a massive well done to the TPS Warriors, who fought so hard in their final and took it all the way to a penalty shootout. To push that far after such a long day is a real credit to this amazing group of boys. 💙⚽️

A huge thank you to our coaches — Cindy, Stacey, Dan, Michaela, Ronja, Amy, Emma B and Jana — for giving up your time to support our tamariki.

And finally, thank you to our amazing TPS whānau for transporting, supporting and cheering our tamariki on throughout the day. Without your support, opportunities like this simply wouldn’t happen.
