Happy August! Our last month of winter ❄️
What better time to pop into the library and find the perfect toy to take home.

Please see below a few changes to our opening schedule this month.

Our toy library committee and members are doing an amazing job of helping out while our toy librarian is away! We aren't able to cover this afternoon so unfortunately the library will be closed today.

We are sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for understanding!

See you on Wednesday or Saturday morning this week 🙂

🌟 Matariki Weekend Closure 🌟

Just a friendly reminder that Nelson Toy Library will be closed on Saturday, 11 July for the Matariki weekend.

🧸 If your toys are due back on 11 July, we've automatically extended your loan by one extra week, so your new return date is Saturday, 18 July.

💙 A small favour if you're able...

We currently have over 100 toys due back on 18 July! If you can make it to the library this Saturday to return your toys and swap them for some new ones, it would really help spread the workload across two weeks.

This will make things much easier for our amazing committee members and volunteers, and it will also help reduce waiting times for everyone returning and borrowing toys.

Thank you so much for your understanding and support—it really does make a difference. We hope to see lots of you this Saturday! 😊

A reminder of the slight change to some of our opening hours during July.

We have a few slight changes to our opening hours over winter while our wonderful toy librarian Monika is away.

During this time, our amazing committee members and volunteers will be filling so this means you might see some different faces in the library during July and August.

Keep an eye on our page for reminders about our planned closures.

Our AGM will consist of a quick recap of the year, electing new committee officers/roles, discussing membership fees and getting feedback from members.
