We love seeing the different ways our Toy Library families use our toys at home! 💛
This DUPLO airport set has been borrowed by a family who love using DUPLO for storytelling and imaginative play — and they’ve created their very own story around it!

📦 Can you help our Toy Library with toy storage? 🧸
We’re looking for spare plastic containers that you may have sitting around at home and no longer need.
We use containers to help keep our toys organised, easy to store and ready for families to borrow. ♻️✨
If you have any clean, sturdy plastic containers with lids that you’d be happy to donate, we’d love to give them a new life at the Toy Library!
💛 Every donation, big or small, helps us make the most of our space and keep our toys organised.

This awesome building set was donated by one of our wonderful Toy Library families — and it’s already being put to good use at home! 🥰

We have toys suitable for children aged 0–8 years, so don’t forget to bring your older tamariki along to the library too. There’s something for everyone! 🎉

We love seeing our toy library toys being enjoyed at home — and this gorgeous photo was sent to us by one of our toy library families! 💚
This Montessori-inspired toy is a wonderful way to develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration and colour recognition through play. 🟠🟡🟢🔵
Using tweezers takes a little practice and encourages children to develop their pincer grip and hand strength — skills that can help support future activities such as writing, drawing and using everyday tools. ✏️
It’s also a great opportunity for counting, sorting and problem-solving, all while allowing children to work at their own pace and enjoy the satisfaction of completing a task. ✨
And the best part? You can borrow it from Nelson Community Toy Library rather than needing to buy it!

We’d love to hear from our wonderful Toy Library families! 🧡

If you have Halloween costumes, dress-ups or spooky accessories that are no longer being used and you’d like to donate them to the Toy Library, we’d be delighted to give them a new life. 🎃🧙‍♀️🦇

Donated costumes could become part of our dress-up collection for other tamariki to enjoy, helping families have lots of spooky fun without having to buy something new. 🧡
